Job Description

As the industrys only end-to-end, cloud-native network software provider, Mavenir is transforming the way the world connects, accelerating software network transformation for 250 Communications Service Providers in over 120 countries, which serve more than 50% of the world s subscribers.Role SummarySoftware Development Engineer: Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools.Key Responsibilities

  • PCB layout design on various substrate materials
  • Component placement and signal routings
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical designers to define and align the physical and electrical requirements.
  • Collaborate with the design project team and Mavenir sourcing to optimize the cost and supply chain parameters
  • Conduct design reviews with relevant team members.
  • Generation of PCB manufacturing packages for vendors (Gerber files, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings)
  • Completion of the projects as per plan in time with quality
  • Creation and maintenance of component libraries and modular design structures.
  • Closure of DFM with PCB and PCBAsuppliers.
  • Technical contact with the PCB and PCBA suppliers.
  • Establishment and on-going improvement of best practices (e.g. design rules, tools) to achieve quality metrics.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to the engineers in layout design.
Job Requirements
  • Proven track record from PCB layout design for complex multi-layer boards.
  • Excellent understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Experience in PCB layout design constraints for RF signal and fast data and clock signals in digital design
  • Experience in PCB layout design constraints for thermal design
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics OR Cadence OR Protel EDA tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Curious minded person striving for continuous learning and innovation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new technologies and concepts
  • BS/BE Degree in EE/EC, Diploma in EE/EC, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • At least 6 years work experience.
