Job Description

    1. Identification of potential partners/opportunities - Identify opportunities and evaluate partners to understand business potential and then build relationships with them (e.g. Banks, NBFC, microfinance entities, new age tech lending companies Brokers) in a timely manner to strengthen this sales channel - Understand the needs of the partners and provide inputs in proposal/RFP preparation to create a value proposition. - Target new and upcoming partners (e.g. payments banks, newly licensed banks) and customize offering basis their needs to be the insurance partner for them and get the first mover advantage - Scan the external environment and monitor the competitor actions/offers to further improve the proposition and remain competitive - Focus on whitespace opportunities in the market and create insurance proposition to get a first mover advantage.2. Finalization of deals - Prepare the overall business proposition, structure the deal and present to seniormanagement/shareholders for review - Negotiate with partners by explaining the value proposition, brand value, mutual benefits (e.g. salary accounts to Banca partners) to secure a profitable deal - Manage the deal making part of any relationship by meeting and networking with all the relevant officials (involving Board members and MD) and explaining the synergies3. Process Improvement - Scan external environment to keep abreast with advances in technology, process and talent capability and lead their implementation in own team - Proactively identify gaps/areas of improvement in current sales infrastructure (process, technology, talent) and implement improvement initiatives, as required.4. Functional review - Provide regular updates to senior management on the deal status to apprise them on developments (e.g. on RFP) - Review the activities/efforts of subordinates in terms of progress made per account to identify bottlenecks and provide suggestions5. Team development - Participate in recruitment process to identify the right talent for various positions within the function - Establish individual performance expectations and evaluation metrics, and regularly review individual performance - Identify and create development opportunities for team members to enhance functional knowledge
