The Analyst s primary function is to prepare pre/post trade reports under the direction of transition strategist/portfolio manager and analyze transition events. Secondary functions would include contributing to the development to improve reports and reporting process. The Analyst is also responsible to provide back-up to the Senior Analyst as necessary.Knowledge/Skills:1. Solid analytical capabilities are a must2. Ability to multi-task is important3. Strong computer skills necessary (especially Excel)4. Attention to detail is essential5. Looking for someone who is thorough and accurate in their work6. Good communication skills are key7. General knowledge of equity and fixed income markets is helpful8. Experience with macros and programming (VBA, Python) would be an added advantage. Major Duties:1. Analyzing upcoming asset restructures a. Load security level data into pre-trade reporting system b. Identify data errors and omissions c. Evaluate potential risks of the restructure d. Build the execution strategy e. Create pre-trade report2. Analyzing completed transition assignments a. Load execution report into post-trade reporting system b. Identify key drivers of cost c. Check for potential errors or corporate actions d. Create post-trade report3. Periodic aggregation of transition data and loading it to the post-trade tracking tool to get broad-level analysis of this data, especially on pre-trade estimates and post-trade results.4. Prepare periodic risk reports for interim portfolios managed.5. Prepare trade performance reports quarterly for Institutional Brokerage clients.6. Analyzing monthly trade flow analysis by security and by sector. The individual in this role will also be expected to help contribute to further development and improvement of the tools and processes involved. Knowledge/Skills:1.
