Job Description

*Responsibilities

  • Design & Develop API specifications using OpenAPI Specifications/YAML/JS
  • Implement API solutions using Apigee to include API proxies, rate limiting, security, analytics, etc.
  • Configure traffic management policies such as spike arrest, message mediation, cache management, security, analytics and monetization
  • Work with Enterprise integration team to design integration flows and troubleshoot issues involving ESB, iPaaS
  • Contribute to API catalog for self-service enrichment
  • Define common API design patterns/anti-patterns and principles
  • Provide technical guidance to the project team, and enforce Apigee project standards and best practices
  • Support Security team for API related topics
  • Contribute to the technical roadmap and evolution of Apigee in Schneider by working closely with Apigee s product team
  • Conduct workshops to create more awareness about APIs, Apigee and how it can be used to bring to more business value
  • Facilitate development and communication of solutions to technical and business stakeholders
  • Identify technical dependencies and roadblocks proactively and work with cross-functional teams to remove them
  • Define and deliver Proofs of Concept independently and effectively
  • Train and mentor developers towards solution development and POC/POT execution

  • 8-10 years of IT/software development/integration experience
  • Proficient in developing APIs in APIGEE edge
  • At least 3+ years hands on experience in Apigee
  • Apigee certified professional
  • Skilled problem solver with the desire and proven ability to create innovative solutions
  • Strong communicator who can explain and present concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment
Good understanding of:
  • XML, JSON, Web Service technologies (SOAP, REST)
  • Troubleshooting API failures using Apigee Edge
  • Apigee policies (mediation, security and traffic management policies).
  • OAuth 2.0, Basic Auth, JWT, SSO implementation, XML/JSON transformations, logging policies, KVM, Caching
  • Knowledge of API best practices and performance tuning
  • Strong knowledge of Apigee component architecture and implementation configurations
  • API Analytics - generation of custom reports and integration with external tools
  • SOA, Microservices, ESB, iPaaS
  • Test automation tools/frameworks like Selenium, Postman Newman, TDD
  • Hands on knowledge in JavaScript, Node.js, Java
  • REST Tools: Postman, Fiddler, JMeter etc.
  • Implementation of CI/CD Pipeline for Apigee using Jenkins, GIT
  • AWS Cloud services
  • Data storage technologies SQL, NoSQL
Good to have:
  • Java, OpenSSL, Curl, Unix Shell scripting
