For more information, visit www.globalfoundries.com.Work Area: Global TapeoutSummary of Role :The Global Tapeout Organization (GTO) is responsible for taking customers input design and preparing the data for photomask creation. The team is comprised of software engineers and product engineers who are subject matter experts in the data translation process. The team works closely with peer developers, IT and end-users. GLOBALFOUNDRIES is looking for software engineers to further develop the automation which assists in generating the data for photomask manufacturers. Successful candidates will be comfortable working through all stages of the software development life-cycle from requirements to development, test and deployment using Agile disciplines. Candidates will need to work in a dynamic collaborative environment requiring strong teaming skills with programmers, engineers, managers and production employees.Essential Responsibilities :

  • Design and develop Java/J2EE and/or Python/Django framework applications to ensure they are robust, extensible, and easy to maintain
  • Weigh business and technical requirements to produce estimates.
  • Lead peer developers in working meetings, scrums
  • Develop and maintain troubleshooting and corrective action guides
  • Develop test plans and carry out testing new application releases
  • Perform troubleshooting and corrective actions during unscheduled application downtimes
  • Perform deep dive analysis on critical factory applications to determine solutions to system performance issues and drive to closure.
  • Ability to function daily as a technical leader while displaying inclusive interpersonal skills.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
, *Required Qualifications :
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, CIS, Engineering or relevant field
  • Minimum of 5 years applications/systems management or software development
  • 5 - 8 years experience software development experience with Java, J2EE, Servlets, JSP, JDBC, SQL and DB2 and/or Python/Django frameworks
  • Web development experience (AJAX, HTML CSS, PHP, javascript, and jQuery
  • Experience with Linux running JBOSS, web server and HTTP and/or Nginx/celery/redis (programming and admin)
  • Linux skills with a good working knowledge of command line operations, shell scripts, crons and performance monitoring
  • Basic Semiconductor knowledge, manufacturing / data flow support experience preferred.
  • CVS, GIT code repository knowledge
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • 24x7 support availability (on Call)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, CIS, Engineering or relevant field
  • Expertise in deploying and supporting large-scale information systems
  • Semiconductor knowledge
  • 5+ years experience with Eclipse, JBossDevStudio or similar development tools
  • 5+ years experience with Python/Django
  • Experience with mongodb
  • General knowledge of xml and dtd schema and/or schema spy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively and communicate in a globally organization
