Job Description

    Position: Applications Engineer DESCRIPTION: Design, code, test and analyze software programs and applications to meet business requirements. Develops new applications and maintains and modifies programs currently in production. Assists in the business & technical analysis of requests, reviews program specifications, provides recommendation and develops on the agreed upon specification, timeframe & guidelines.What you ll be doing: 1. Assist other developers and analysts in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications.2. Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications.3. Develop and maintain software programs and applications according to specifications and established timeframes.4. Comply with coding standards, structured programming techniques and development processes to promote maintainability and optimum performance.5. Perform the unit & integration testing according to standard practices and test plans. Modify programs to fix the documented problems using standard debugging methods and tools.6. Maintain system and program documentation as changes are made to the code.7. Interact with business users as needed on collecting and clarifying the business requirements.8. Accept additional responsibilities related to the job as requested.What we are looking for: Bachelor s/Master s degree in Computer Science or related field with 3 to 6 years experience in software applications development. Demonstrated knowledge in the following technologies: Java, J2EE, Spring, JSF. Experience with formal systems development methodologies. Experience working in integrated development environments such as MyEclipse or Visual Studio. Knowledge of MVC design patterns and frameworks. Experience with any of the following are a plus: QTP, Junit, Oracle, or Ibatis/Hibernate Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
