Job Description

    Working in Application Support means youll use both creative and critical thinking skills to maintain application systems that are crucial to the daily operations of the firm. Youll work collaboratively in teams on a wide range of projects based on your primary area of focus: design or programming. While learning to fix application and data issues as they arise, youll also gain exposure to software development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement, in addition to production lifecycle methodologies and risk guidelines. Finally, youll have the opportunity to develop professionally and to grow your career in any direction you choose.This position is for a Senior SAP Basis Administrator. The selected candidate will be hired into the Corporate Finance Technology Group, an IT Group within the Corporate Technology, supporting the Global Finance Organization and Financial Systems of which the SAP Products and Applications are used to support the Global General Ledger on Netweaver with HANA platforms. The SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for the management of the SAP environment in a High-Available design, and collaborates with Development teams to resolve SAP Application and Systemic problems. The SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP systems, as well configuring, monitoring, tuning, patching and troubleshooting the SAP environments on an ongoing basis. Additional areas include the evaluation and design of integration between SAP and external systems, and managing test environments, supporting several test events and the migration of SAP database and application configuration into production. A key area of responsibility is maintaining documentation and updating of the existing SAP environment and work with IT and business units to modernize the SAP environment. Desired SAP technologies: S/4 HANA with Fiori and embedded BW, HANA DB 2.0, BW 7.5, SolMan 7.2, & SAP GRC ACL 12.X Preferred technologies: NetWeaver, RHEL, AIX, HANA, Oracle, and Microsoft Office product set to support SAP Applications Responsibilities and Duties: Perform SAP software installation, upgrades, applying support packages, system copies/refreshes and installation add-on software components. Administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning of all SAP S4/HANA & BW on HANA. Responding to and resolving infrastructure related incidents & problems Works with OS & DB Administrators for optimal SAP Performance Provide Support and Guidance to the other Project and Development teams during the build, test and productive operation of project implementation. Provides support for Disaster Recovery and DR test as required. Provide all aspects of technical support for SAP Basis Administration in a proactive and reactive mode to ensure that the systems perform within the terms of their respective service level agreements. Perform Early Watch analysis and apply recommendations. Participate in multi-landscape design solutions, architecture recommendations, and strategies for continuous improvement. Maintain multi-landscape environments through remote copies, system refreshes, and transport management monitoring. Provide support SAP End-Users with system and reporting problems. Perform Daily System Health Checks on all SAP systems and do general troubleshooting and diagnostics checks on technical aspects of the system. Setup of User Printers within SAP, as well as support the installation of Front-end GUI for end-users. Configure and Maintain Transport System Landscapes and operate Change Management Tools Perform Setup and Configuration of Solution Manager CCMS in order to monitor & administer the SAP systems. Provide Production Support on a periodic 24x7 support with on-call responsibilities Work with SAP via OSS & Solution Manager to technical resolve problems Work on manual toil-reduction by automating Basis related repeatable tasks. Qualifications: Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or related business field: or equivalent experience. Working understanding of complex software and information technology solutions. 10-12+ years working with SAP administration with demonstrated experience related to support, maintenance and implementation projects. 8+ year s experience with Linux/Unix platforms (Redhat Linux preferred) and HANA (2.0 preferred)S/4 HANA Implementation & Migration & UI5/Fiori experience preferred12-18 Months HANA MDC DB Experience. Ability to work independently and mentor junior resources on both technical and non-technical issues. Good working knowledge of Unix / PERL Scripting is essentialGood understanding of Storage and network design concepts to partner with cross technical teams (Infrastructure partners). Understanding on Hardware and Virtualization.Understanding on SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and cloud setup/migration.,
