Job Description

Job Summary: The Strategic Initiatives (SI) team supports EY Knowledge to help EY win and deliver in the market by continuously bringing a challenger mindset and strategic influence to elevate and accelerate large scale, cross-functional programs aligned to EY Knowledge and NextWave priorities. The team s key objectives are: Acting as a strategic partner to EY Knowledge leaders and stakeholders to deliver transformational objectives from ideation through implementation Delivering high impact and transformational business initiatives and digital first, high-quality products aligned to Next Wave priorities Providing a holistic lens of all change and transformation catalysts impacting the organization and managing for harmonized, strategically aligned transformation Leading and delivering cross functional transformation programs across EY Knowledge bringing specialised programmatic planning and rigor The Strategic Initiatives Program Manager is responsible for project execution and delivery for a portfolio of moderate to complex projects/programs aligned to EY s Next Wave Strategy and EY Knowledge Priorities. This role includes, but is not limited to a focus on the following areas of responsibilities:Providing project management support to programs identified by the EY Knowledge Senior leaders as strategic initiatives programs Collaborating with senior leadership and engaged EY Knowledge sponsors on the scope and business purpose of each strategic initiative supported Provide timely reporting and milestone tracking for all strategic initiatives programs to share progress, demonstrate impact and escalate concerns and risks promptly. Provide guidance, support and insights that require in-depth knowledge of the business such as services and clients, technical topics, operational processes, executive decision-making within areas of expertise This position is a member of the EY Knowledge Strategy, Talent and Operations team and is expected to actively contribute to team meetings, leading practice sharing and collaboration.Purpose of the Job:

  • Manage a portfolio of moderate to complex projects, including new technology or process deployments, people and talent changes, and the development and deployment of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Create and develop project/program scope and schedules. Plan and assign resources to associated tasks and deliverables as appropriate
  • Responsible for managing project resources, communications and cost management of projects/programs
  • Consult on and present recommendations to senior managers on solutions and influence final decisions
  • Leverage understanding of complex workflow of operations to consult on well-conceived suggestions for improvement
  • Create, develop and facilitate the implementation of solutions across teams requiring ongoing working relationships at varying levels and across various teams in EY Knowledge to ensure transition to business as usual ownership is smotth
  • Explain and address difficult issues and works to establish consensus; communicate issues and status reports to leadership and/or stakeholders.
  • Raise required needs and decisions regarding the allocation of resources to meet changing project/program needs.
  • Develop procedures and coordinate activities within project/program team, including resource/vendor selection and management. This may include working directly with suppliers both internal and external.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and leaders (i.e. EY Knowledge, technology, finance, etc.)
  • Responsible for developing, socializing and refining strategies to support key business drivers
  • Identify opportunities to team with relevant EY Knowledge colleagues on activities and programs

  • Understands EY Next Wave Strategy and supports key knowledge strategic initiatives alignment to them
  • Understands the firm s go-to-market strategy and service delivery models, how core business services support business lines, and how knowledge enables exceptional client service and high performing teams.
  • Understands and applies knowledge of the firm s business, organizational structure and operations to effectively identify opportunities to support the firm s strategy and key initiatives
  • Manages moderate to complex projects that require the ability to create and implement timelines related to project deliverables, assign tasks and follow up on their completion and manage sponsor/customer expectations of the outcome of the deliverable
  • Applies process and technology enablement knowledge to analyses and problem solving

  • May act as a counselor/supervisor to others; may provide coaching/development and direction to other less experienced team members
Other Requirements:
  • Overtime will be required throughout the year and will vary based on volume of work
  • Travel may be required from time to time to complete assignments and meet with organizational leaders and stakeholders
  • Flexibility in working hours to accommodate multiple time zones as needed
Job Requirements:Education:
  • Bachelor s degree and/or equivalent work experience
Experience:
  • 7+ years of related work experience
Certification Requirements:
  • PMI PMP (or equivalent) preferred
