Job Description

Its focus includes managing the company s investment portfolio and funding needs, optimizing the balance sheet and net interest income (NII) and driving risk/return frameworks to manage the company s capital position and liquidity and interest rate risk profiles.Asset Liability Management (ALM) is a function within Global Treasury with approximately 40 teammates worldwide. ALM is responsible for the company s balance sheet strategy, forecasting NII and measuring interest rate risk sensitivities under different rate scenarios. It works closely with other Global Treasury, Finance and Line of Business units to provide analysis and recommendation for strategic changes to the company s balance sheet. The Balance Sheet Insight Center (BSIC) team within ALM is responsible for reporting and analytics focused on business unit and client level profitability and deposit strategy.Successful candidates will have relevant experience at large financial institutions. They will be required to partner cross-functionally within the organization and across geographies. Candidates for this position are expected to:

  • Develop and coach teammates with a focus on coaching and retaining talent
  • Promote a culture of risk excellence by challenging assumptions, escalating potential issues and executing required controls to support oversight and governance requirements
  • Work closely with teammates and Lead Financial Officers (LFOs) within Finance to analyze business unit and regional net interest income (NII) results and support internal analytics and monitoring of performance
  • Apply knowledge/skills handling complex problems and/or coordinating work which may extend beyond own area of expertise; share expertise with colleagues and other departments
Key Responsibilities & Experience Range
  • Follow procedures and maintain existing processes while also proactively identifying areas for enhancement within the funds transfer pricing (FTP) production and reporting processes
  • Report and analyze actual business unit and regional post-FTP NII results and drivers of variance relative to prior period actuals and forecasts
  • Manage ad-hoc requests and business partner expectations to ensure accurate work product can be delivered within agreed upon time frames
Qualifications
  • 4-6 years in financial services, Treasury experience preferred
  • Bachelor s degree required, postgraduate degree preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to influence others and lead a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective at presenting results to key stakeholders including senior management and external regulators
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint in addition to other reporting visualization tools; experience with QRM (Quantitative Risk Management) preferred
