Job Description

    Under general supervision, monitors and provides risk analysis of various investment products. Our main goal is to detect and advise management of potential risk issues and recommend procedural changes to mitigate risk. This group also researches and develops solutions for issues being addressed by the department and responds to inquiries and requests for information. The source of assessment and interpretation of all risks in the business for NTAM Senior Management and Northern Trust Corporate risk and to be a consultative partner to the front, middle, and back office capabilities, providing transparent information related to the risk of their portfolios, businesses and processes. Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities Research on various municipal bond issuers, which NT holds Oversight, tracking and general management of all client queries, handled by different location Leads special projects, process improvement initiatives, and/or the implementation of solutions to meet business needs Responsibility of junior team members work on daily review of various functions Keeps up to date with market conditions and developments in order to recognize and understand the market environment. Knowledge of asset management industry standards, including familiarity with policies, procedures and preferred practices Strong written and communication skills Operations experience preferred Strong project management skills Working with manager and management to establish best practises and in suggesting new ways of better team management Suggesting improvement in work deliverables and process enhancements and improvements ideas need to be discussed often Mentoring and buddying junior staff to deliver all agreed SLDs accurately Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees May manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role) More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areasGraduate (preferably MBA or equivalent) 5-7years or relevant experience in BFSI, BPO,KPO industry Analytical skills to resolve and research enquiries and issues Ability to actively collaborate and work with extended team outside of the Business unit Hands on working knowledge of MS-Excel, Bloomberg & Blackrock Good Process and procedure development skills Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to establish credibility and foster excellent working relationships with internal and external partners Work well with people in the same department, both locally and globallyAdditional Information,
