Associate Solutions ArchitectLocation Bangalore - SKAVPosting date 2 days ago(2/18/2021 5:17 AM)Job ID 85119 Category Enterprise Solutions Architects, PreSales, Solution Architecture Job summary Serve as the front-line catalyst in creating possibilities, solving problems, and establishing working relationships with customers and partners. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an Associate Solutions Architect to join us in Bangalore, India. In this role, youll help our customers and partners invest wisely in an infrastructure that gives them maximum flexibility in the future and helps them run faster and more efficiently. You will also work with Red Hats modern solutions, including Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat Cloud Suite, Red Hat OpenShift, and Red Hat Virtualization. You ll need to have a good understanding of cloud computing concepts, experience designing, deploying and operating virtualization infrastructure hardware and software, experience with Red Hat OpenStack, and solid presentation skills. Primary job responsibilities

  • Develop strategic relationships with partners to become a trusted adviser for Red Hat solutions and services
  • Provide presales technical support to Red Hat account managers and partners, including technical enablement, solutions development, solutions porting, benchmarking, implementing roadmap design, and packaging of complex partner products and solutions
  • Support evaluations of offerings; lead practical technology workshops and limited-scope technical proofs of concepts
  • Assist in responding to partner inquiries, including requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs)
  • Support development of repeatable partner solution assets
  • Work closely with partner managers and the Channel Sales team to achieve sales and revenue goals
Required skills
  • 5+ years of overall experience in the IT industry
  • 3+ years of experience as a presales engineer, consultant, IT architect, or in an equivalent role supporting partners and enterprises
  • 3+ years of experience in solutions development or implementation in UNIX or Linux environment, including multi product integration
  • 2+ years of experience working with previously mentioned Red Hat products and virtualization technologies like VMware vSphere, Xen, KVM, Docker, IBM PowerVM, Microsoft Hyper-V, and cloud technologies like OpenStack Icehouse or later releases
  • Understanding of core networking topology and devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load-balancers
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others to provide the best solutions possible
  • Balance of serious technical expertise, passion for open source, a thorough understanding of business processes, and the ability to identify and solve issues at the enterprise level
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Familiarity with Java or Java EE programming or deployment with application servers like Red Hat Middleware, Oracle WebLogic Server, IBM WebSphere, etc.
  • Basic programming skills and experience in either Ruby, Python, Java, PHP, Git, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Red Hat Certified Solutions Architect (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or ITIL certifications are a plus
