Automation and Development Engineer - Element Platform

To lead HPE into this future, the Element Platform Container Platforms and Workloads team is looking for a developer for automation of cloud-native infrastructure developerto join our team to support the our aaS solution offerings. The Element Platform organization is responsible for delivering the building blocks and solutions that provide the basis for HPE GreenLake as-a-Service offerings. Within this organization you willparticipate ina DevOps development team, based in Bangalore, focused on developing automation solutions for cloud native infrastructure. The solutions combine HPE hardware, Bare Metal and Platform-as-a-Service stacks, and workloads, delivered as a turnkey, fully managed stack via HPE GreenLake Central. You and your team will build tools and pipelinesthat make it easy to deploy, configure, manage, and upgrade the stack, embracing new technologies and approaches for CI/CDto accelerate feature/function/validated stack deployment which delivers value to our clients in a consistent and automated manner. You will work alongside otherindividualdevelopers, quality and test engineers, and other knowledge workers. Based on your development background, you will participate in building applications at scale in cloud-native architectures, helping to execute the architect s application development point of view.You will work closely with engineering teams (who provide the domain expertise on the specific -aaS platform offerings), technical program managers / Agile scrum masters, product owners and architects in executing backlogs and Sprints.Responsibilities

• Develop new products and tools related to DevOps automation of cloud-native infrastructure, including Agile lifecycle updates
• Define and develop Element Platform automation, leveraging internal HPE frameworks and open source frameworks (e.g. Terraform, Ansible), working closely with other developers, testers, product owners, architects, solution engineers and program managers to maximize efficiency and productivity

• Implement modern DevOps techniques and tools to achieve full stack automation, continuous improvement and productivity enhancements
• Proactively identify and implement, via Agile development methodology, full stack platform automation, enabling our team to move quickly and customers to benefit from microservices transformation
• Evaluate and provide technical solutions to solve a variety of full stack deployment, validation, grow and update processes, integrated with the rest of the cloud native management and application stack

Education and Experience

• Bachelors orMasters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Minimum of6 years of applicable work experience.
• Preferred at least 4 years ofexperiencein automation and development using Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell scripting or other automation tools.
• Expertise in DevOps tools (GitHub, Hira, Jenkins, etc.) and Agile development practices.
• Expertise in automation, infrastructure-as-code, and related development tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform, PowerShell scripting or similar

• Experience and desired expertise with development platforms / technologies such as Python, PowerShell, Node.js, RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, Kong/Kuma API mesh
• Kubernetes, container platforms (HPE Ezmeral / BlueData, OpenShift, Anthos), Docker experience
• Experience with CI/CD tools and test automation (e.g. Selenium or similar)
• Experience withinfrastructure (servers, storage, networking) desired.

Additional Skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.
• Collaborates well with peers, technicians and external design partners.
