Job Description

The prime responsibility of the Fixed Income Middle office India team is to provide support to Portfolio Managers globally and work on activities that ensure accuracy of investment data for the Asset Management business. To ensure the above, the team performs a battery of checks related to analytics & data quality for portfolio management tools used by Portfolio Managers.Additional responsibilities will include maintenance of production infrastructure and maintaining controls for any changes to production.The role requires attention to detail, an awareness of the risks involved and an ability to work under pressure and strict adherence to deadlines.Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned tasks/deliverables in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Responsible for maintaining accuracy of investment data within the system, validating & reconciling attribution data using many upstream systems, periodic performance reporting
  • Liaise with third party data providers to ensure the above stated objective
  • Conduct start of day checks on price and analytics of held securities
  • Work with Technology & Change Mobilization teams to address ongoing issues and put in place a better system driven solution v/s existing manually intensive tasks that the team performs
  • Responsibility for identifying and classifying assets within the system
  • Responsibility for running and distribution of reports, running of pre-defined queries (jobs) in the system, preparation and production of MIS/presentation.
  • Other responsibilities include servicing any data related downstream client requests such as FO & Portfolio Analytics Group
Core Skill-sets
  • Knowledge of investment products.
  • Experience and desire to work in an automated processing environment
  • Banking Operations experience is required with exposure to performance reporting will be beneficial
  • Must be highly organized and be able to work to tight deadlines
  • Client focused & having risk awareness
  • Needs excellent attention to detail and a high degree of professionalism / initiative
  • Basic knowledge about the securities market and different financial products
  • Excellent MS skills ideally to macro level

  • PC Skills required: MS Excel, MS Word & MS Power Point.

Educational Qualifications:
  • Relevant work experience
  • MBA/Post Graduation/ IMC / CFA / CIPM would be advantageous
