Job Description

15+ years of experience in SW Architecture practicesMust have hands on exposure in developing software architectures for at least two domains (one in the automotive domain is a must)Good knowledge of software architecture standards, design patterns, architectural style, and technical infrastructure.Experience in object orientation, UML and hands on with static and dynamic modelling (model driven development skills are a must)Must be able to base software architecture descriptions based on different programming languages (C & C++ is a must)Experience with Requirements management, traceability, and software architecture tools (EA, Rhapsody, DOORS etc.)Experience with microcontroller resource management and software performance optimization (multi-core and distributed systems)In depth know how of Embedded systems and associated real time operating systems.Know-how of different vehicle architectures and associated systems (AUTOSAR is a must)Know-how of various automotive standards (involving security, safety, connected systems etc.)Must be familiar with code quality and compliance aspects (MISRA, CERT and other programming language standards)SDLC with agile methodologies and practicesMust be able to execute automotive software quality processes (ASPICE representation is a MUST and a key qualifier needed for this role.)Handle product related variances and ensure re-usability of the softwareMust have excellent spoken and written English language communication skills (certification in ISAQB is an added advantage)Soft skills to manage stake holders and lead a team of architectsOpenness towards people topics is an added advantage.Job ResponsibilitiesThe software architect lead will be responsible for planning and overseeing all phases of software development by leading a team of software architects. (Individual contribution and lead qualities expected)Responsibilities towards enabling the architects to design, document and implement software architectures.Enforce software architecture descriptions for large scale embedded projects based on requirements using proven architecture methodologies and associated standard processes.Drive identification of software interfaces and responsibilities towards existing and new components and ensure they are well documented and see-through completion of the software feature end to end.Participate in making design decisions and play the role of a key stakeholder in the change control boardMentor, guide, and part know how of software architectural best practices and enforce relevant processes associatedEvaluate risks, estimate proposed changes, provide alternate solutions, and closely work with the development communityMaintain the architecture artifacts with top notch quality, keep track of compliance topics and must represent ASPICE evaluationsMust participate in key reviews and provide suggestions and solutions towards various aspects of software development (including architecture, design, code, test, integration, planning and management)Manage technical complexities and must be able to drive, enforce and evaluate best practices with various stakeholders and make process enhancements for the entire development fraternity as needed.Develop blueprints for software development based on functional and non-functional requirements and fulfill the identified architectural drivers.Keep a watchful view on current and future architecture trends and drive deployment of state-of-the-art future technical needs within the organizationMust work with multisite teams and represent organization for software architecture with interdisciplinary mindset.,
