Job Description

As the Business Analyst for the newly created Indirect Procurement Center of Excellence (COE), you will actively contribute to the continuous development of the Global General Procurement (G2P) organization and support our multi-year transformational journey to be a best-in-class management of approximately $2.5 billion in indirect spend. This role will work closely with cross functional teams such as IT, Finance, Accounting, global G2P team members and suppliers.G2P is a Global support organization, procuring the goods, services and contingent workforce required for Applied Materials to run the company and enable our employees to support our customers. Our Sourcing categories include but are not limited to IT Hardware, Software and Telecommunications, Consulting, Professional Services, Facilities, Real Estate, Equipment and Equipment Maintenance as well as Contingent Workforce.G2P team members are expected to maintain the highest level of partnership, innovation, efficiency and compliance supporting the companies mission to Make Possible . As a member of the COE, you are curious, ask hard questions and challenge yourself and others to continuously improve.Key ResponsibilitiesReviews, analyzes and evaluates requirements to create system solutions that support G2P strategies. May participate in new technology evaluations. Documents business requirements, defines scope and objectives and create specifications that drive system development and implementation. Prepares use case test plans and performs software application testing (integration, performance, acceptance) using standard tools and following established processes and guidelines. Participates in reviewing and monitoring of complex production systems to ensure continuous, effective performance and identifies systems or process improvements and enhancements as needed. Provides and oversees support services to business customers for specific service or set of services. Adheres to business processes and procedures to meet customer service level agreements and maintain customer satisfaction. Plan and manage projects to ensure effective and efficient execution in line with established processes and guidelines that meet scope, timeline, budget and quality. Mentors and trains less experienced team members in product functionality, development and testing guidelines, tools, and methodologies. Provides training and education to end users as needed.Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong knowledge of SAP - ECC, SRM, MDM
  • In depth knowledge of catalog management process. Prior experience building and deploying catalogs is a big plus
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow - Incident Management, Portal, Performance Analytics
  • Strong grasp of test management lifecycle. Experience testing mobile applications is a big plus
  • Strong collaboration and ability to work in a cross functional virtual team
  • Thrives in a dynamic work environment and a self-starter
  • Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and communication skills. Meticulous attention to detail
  • Process management - perpetually identifies and drives process and system improvements, challenges the status quo
  • Knowledge of SDLC and STLC process methodologies - Agile, Waterfall
Preferred Experience
  • Prior Procure to Pay systems implementations (e.g. SAP Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua)
  • HPQC or equivalent software testing application
  • SharePoint, MS Teams
  • Workday Sourcing (Scout RFP)
