Job Description

Job SummaryFinastra is looking for an experienced, levelheaded DevOps Architect/Engineer who likes to do things the right way and likes to build systems for their team to do things the right way. We want you to join our Cloud Enablement team under Development Enterprise Architecture and work to define Finastra s cloud environment.Job Accountabilities:As a DevOps Architect, you will be part of the Global Technology organization and work closely with other product engineers, architects, and developers to build highly reliable products. The Development Operations group manages the entire Finastra cloud environment for development activities. As such, we ll rely on your experience to help us build out the automated, shining beacon of best-practice infrastructure that we need. Your role will be supported by teams of top-notch developers, support engineers, and the entire Finastra organization to deliver the best of breed products and services to our clients.Cloud Enablement Architect (Principal)Finastra is seeking an experienced, levelheaded Cloud Architect (Principal) who is looking for a fast-paced environment with the opportunity to grow Finastra s cloud technology roadmap.A successful candidate will have a can-do attitude and a passion for developing new technologies in the public cloud. As technologies evolve, we need a team of people who will grow and adapt to new best practices.We look for people with:PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for designing new technology requirements for Finastra s common financial/banking platform ( FusionFabric.cloud )
  • Responsible for coordinating with Finastra application and platform architects on new cloud technology initiatives
  • Design authority for Finastra Enterprise Cloud Patterns & Practices
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPIERIENCE
  • Bachelor s or master s degree in computer engineering or computer science preferred
  • A solid grasp of development, automation, and monitoring tools and practices (Terraform/Grafana/Ansible/Puppet/PowerShell/Python/GitHub Actions)
  • 10 years of experience in advanced computing disciplines
  • 5 years of hands-on public cloud infrastructure experience (Azure, AWS)
  • Solution design and deployment of resilient, HA, Highly Scalable & DR architecture
  • Strong Architecture knowledge, experience with microservices architecture
  • Strong commitment to standardization
  • Strong experience documenting standards and best practices
  • Expert knowledge of container provisioning and management (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift)
MANDATORY SKILLS
  • Ability to deliver long-term, repeatable IaC solutions that incorporate directly into an automated process
  • Experience leading root cause analysis of incidents using incident post-mortems
  • Working knowledge of public cloud IaaS & PaaS platforms
  • Experience designing, deploying, and managing infrastructure orchestration
  • Experience monitoring container-based microservices & public cloud platform services
  • Knowing agile methodology and being able to work by its principals
  • Shows strong leadership capabilities
  • Effectively communicates across all organizational levels
  • Fluent English skills
