Job summaryRing is seeking an insightful and analytical Business Intelligence Engineer with strong business and technical skills to join our rapidly growing Business Intelligence team. In this role, you will work with various executive, product management, engineering, quality assurance, finance, logistics, shipping, sales, and marketing teams. Your work will be instrumental to achieving our mission of making neighborhoods safer, be highly visible to leadership, and drive key strategic company goals.Key job responsibilities Enable decision-making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources to present it in a digestible and actionable format. Analyze large data sets using a variety of query and visualization tools. Provide technical expertise in extracting, integrating, and analyzing critical data. Anticipate, identify, structure, and solve critical problems. Design and develop key performance metrics and indicators using standardized and custom reports. Perform ad hoc analysis to quickly solve time sensitive operational issues and business cases. Provide mentorship and coaching for embedded analysts and other business teams. Clearly communicate any potential data discrepancies and/or reporting downtime, including specific root cause, steps to resolution, and resolution date to a large end-user base. Work with subject matter experts to document and translate business requirements into technical requirements. Manage multiple projects and proactively communicates issues, priorities, and objectives. Architect technical solutions for new and existing reporting processes based on technical requirements, including table/view/package/ETL and report design across multiple source systems.A day in the lifeYou will develop advanced models and tools, conduct statistical analyses, evaluate large data sets, and create tailored models and dashboards. Additionally, you will be instrumental in the creation of a reliable and scalable infrastructure for ongoing reporting and analytics. You will be structuring ambiguous problems and designing analytics across various disciplines, resulting in actionable recommendations ranging from strategic planning, product strategy/launches, and engineering improvements to marketing campaign optimization, customer servicing trending, and competitive research.About the teamOur team has a collaborative culture, and we enjoy problem solving, digging into root causes of the issues, and are willing to take up new challenges. There is tremendous appetite for learning about new projects, topics, and skills., Bachelor s in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or similar). 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, data science, or related quantitative functions. 3+ years of experience in creating Business metrics/KPIs and performance metrics, innovative data driven solutions, and recommendations to business teams. 2+ years of experience with an SQL and relevant programming skills (e.g., Python, R, C++, Java). 2+ years of experience with big data tools or analytical software (e.g., Athena/Presto, R, or SAS). Master s Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or similar). 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, data science, or related quantitative functions. Significant experience with SQL and statistical analyses involving large data sets. Familiarity with Tableau and Looker. Strong Excel skills.
