Job Description

What you ll do:Come join the Migration team in the ADC focusing on all SP and Enterprise technologies as a Consulting Engineer, Services. We need a creative problem solver, comfortable with challenging the status quo and rapidly responding to raised issues. With a top-tier mix of broad and deep networking knowledge and specific area expertise, as well as excellent Customer Relationship Management skills, youre well positioned to become a trusted advisor capable of building proven, long-term relationships with customers. If you have third party (non-cisco) knowledge then it is a definite plus.Who you will work with:The Advance Delivery Center provides flexible and innovative ways to help meet customer needs while improving profitability for Customer Experience (CX)delivery teams. ADC s highly technical, global resources support customer engagements in all theaters acting as a flawless delivery partner to AS practice and theatre teams.These capabilities expand Ciscos technical reach across all Cisco architectures. Through our network of Advance Delivery Centers (ADCs) we enable delivery of innovative services and solutions. Our collaborative delivery model drives scalability, efficiency and innovation across the AS organization.ADCs are located in strategic regions around the globe Bangalore, Pune, Dalian (China), Mexico City, Krakow (Poland) and Raleigh (USA) - enabling a more consistent and relevant customer experience across barriers of time zone, language and local laws.Who you are:

  • Experience on at least 4 or more product lines like CRS-1/CRS-3/CRS-X, GSR 12000, 7600, ASR9K/ASR1K a must. Engineer must be experienced and have internal product and/or Architecture knowledge.
  • Deep knowledge and experience BGP, OSPF, ISIS, IP/MPLS, QoS, MPLS Traffic Engineering, Multicast.
  • Experience in Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting and/or Network Solution designing of Cisco Routers and switches.
  • Having executed Migration windows and migration projects will be a plus.
  • Experience of 10-12 years on Cisco (CSCO) products.
  • Must have at least one competitor platform knowledge - Alcatel Lucent (ALU) or Juniper (JNPR)
  • Knowledge of Virtualization (VMWare, Openstack, Tail-f) technologies
  • Cisco certifications (CCIE R&S, SP, DC etc.)
  • Experience with Nexus 3K/5K/9K product lines will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in scripting with Tcl/Expect, Python Java and Perl
  • Good communications skills a must. Must have a demonstrated ability to relate to customer representatives and executives at CxO level.
  • Must have deep knowledge of arriving at Network Architecture and Network strategy in customer digital transformation journey.
  • Skills and experience in working independently. Ability to coach and lead a large team of senior engineers
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork needed.
