The Regulatory Reporting team sits within the Controllers department, Finance division. This is a very high profile team involved in a wide range of areas/issues and involves interaction with many other areas of the Firm.To maintain our seamless submission to the PRA and Fed, we require the candidate to be part of our team responsible for the production of capital calculation.As a Legal Entity Controller you will take complete ownership of the financial reporting and monitoring across a wide range of legal entities. You will develop an in-depth understanding of these entities, including their business strategies, products and associated technical accounting and disclosure requirements.We re looking for a bright, driven professional to join our Legal Entity Controllers team, who is keen to use and develop their technical accounting skills to provide high quality reporting and analysis of our entities assets and profitability in a challenging and varied environment. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS JOB RESPONSIBILITIESProduction of PRA and Fed Regulatory Capital computation/reporting:

  • Calculating and analysing of daily regulatory capital requirement under Basel III rule sets with a particular focus on Credit Risk
  • Investigation of issues and exceptions with various divisions of the firm
  • Collation, analysis & delivery of quarterly/semi-annual return/COREP returns and internal monthly capital reports
  • Submission of returns in an accurate & timely manner at varying frequencies, as stipulated by the regulator
  • Ad-hoc requests from senior management, regulator and other teams
  • Data quality review to identify areas of capital savings
  • Cross divisional collaborate (Credit, Technology, Regulatory policy, Corporate treasury, Legal entity/Product controllers, etc.)
  • Assist with reporting process changes following new regulatory reporting requirements
  • Ensure application of a robust control environment by performing key checks and controls proving data completeness and consistency across and between outputs
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Chartered Accountancy is preferred. Accounting, Economics or Finance degree preferred, but not required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong analytical / interpersonal skills and a high proficiency with Microsoft software applications
  • Teamwork and collaboration-oriented, with the ability to work independently
  • Must demonstrate considerable energy, focus, drive, and a sense of urgency
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, operate within deadlines, and escalate when appropriate.
