The audience for our training spans a wide variety of learners, from platform and UI developers to solution architects, program managers, and administrators.This role spans all training media, from eLearning to instructor-led training to workshops. A critical part of the role is a desire to understand the product inside and out. You ll roll up your sleeves and work with the product to design and build hands-on learning experiences.You ll participate on product teams, join scrum meetings, and become a product expert. You ll work closely with our product management and technical publications team to ensure our programs complement a wide range of deliverables. You ll engage directly with services teams to understand the challenges that they are facing, and engage with our partners and customers to make sure our training is effective.QualificationsYou re a lifelong learner who assimilates new information quickly and you re able to use your instructional design and communication abilities to quickly untangle complex concepts and build student skills. Your experiences in all aspects of instructional design are not limited to a particular medium, and include needs analysis and interviewing SMEs, creating learning objectives, planning and outlining, creating original content, and building assessments.You can articulate what cognitive and instructional principles are behind your work and your approach to the training you create, as well as explain the specific advantages of using different types of media as part of the training. You can effectively communicate orally and in written form so that the information you produce is accessible and understandable to a wide variety of audiences.Minimum Requirements:

  • 4 years experience developing training content for business software and/or technical software topics for instructor-led training and/or eLearning
  • Experience developing training on building enterprise applications
  • Skills in applying instructional design methodology that is not dependent on any medium, such as ADDIE, Bloom s Taxonomy, and Robert Mager
  • Familiarity with scientific principles in cognition that support better learning
  • Bachelor s degree required. Master s degree in instructional design or certification from ATD or another professional training organization is highly weighted.
  • Proven ability to apply instructional design techniques, with a portfolio of successful, effective learning experiences
  • A good eye for developing learning experiences that include text, graphics, videos, and simulations
  • Ability to learn new applications quickly, and transfer those skills to others
  • Must enjoy the challenges and opportunities of a start-up environment
  • Strong work ethic, initiative, and drive
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in one of the industries we support: Communications, Energy, Health, Insurance, Government
  • Ability to read/understand one or more front-end code formats, including JavaScript and JSON, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience using eLearning development tools like Articulate Storyline or AdobeCaptivate
  • Experience with capturing images and using screen capture tools such as Snagit
  • Experience with video recording and editing using tools such as Camtasia
  • Experience with the Salesforce Platform
  • Experience with Salesforce Trailhead
  • Experience with web and UI design
