Job Description

Customer Collaboration Functional Engineer Job DescriptionScope/Categories:Role will be responsible for delivering Projects, Enhancements and help growing the business in the areas of Customer Collaboration as part of the broader Global Supply Chain capabilities. It will report to the Regional Customer Collaboration Manager in DTS Engineering & Applications. Role will not have any direct reports. Key Interfaces: Supply Chain and Sales Business Partners, Solution Engineer, Project Manager, Enterprise Architect. Business Client External Interfaces: Consultant & 3rd Party provider. Travel may include approximately 10% of work time.The role has close partnership with the Customer Collaboration Teams (Regional and Local), DTS Supply Chain and Sales Business Partners and the Global Supply Chain Council to deliver the best products and solutions for K-C for Sales and Customer Order Execution. The role should have knowledge about Customer-facing processes, especially Order-to-Cash and ability to apply understanding of the breadth of interactive & sales technologies in service of that, as well as be closely connected with ongoing Digital Innovation, tools and platforms related to Customer Order Execution going forward.Key Accountabilities:

  • Functional leader of minor to medium projects for the Customer Collaboration capability. Accountabilities across multiple functional and technical areas with wide range of complexity.
  • Proactive analysis of business processes and identification of innovative ways to address near term business needs which includes identifying these opportunities, reviewing and obtaining a disposition decision from the appropriate business client, assessing the fit of these opportunities into current initiatives, or including the opportunity in future demand.
  • Map the Customer Journey and partner with the business in the co-creation of solutions that add value to K-C.
  • Drives the evaluation of the factors which must be addressed in the change program.
  • Maintains in-depth understanding of both KCP and Consumer business processes for their capability area.
  • Deliver innovative, efficient and cost-effective solutions mostly around Order Management, Product Allocation, Distribution, Logistics Execution, Billing and EDI space to meet enterprise needs and to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Deliver solutions with OTC cross-over with Field Sales, In-Store Execution within the adjacent In-Market Execution space.
  • Ensure secure compliant stable operations, being accountable of avoiding risk and disruption in Order Capture, Order Management and Fulfillment for a specific region.
  • Influences policy formation; contributes to User Groups; significant contribution to strategic direction.
  • Leads Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives; consults and shares knowledge across org; full awareness of industry and technology trends that can bring K-C a competitive advantage
  • Able to explain complex requirements or issues to vendors (like SAP AG), raise OSS Notes and follow-up on their resolution and/or implementation
  • Capable of explaining complex technical aspects to Senior Management, provide and present Executive Summaries, as well as translating complex business scenarios into technical terms amongst other Functional and Solution Engineers and Developers
Key Qualifications and Experiences:
  • Bachelors degree; 5-7 years of Professional experience with a minimum of 2 years of Information Technology experience including working directly with business clients.
  • Has experience developing applications and able to apply that experience to identify opportunities, design initiatives that improve business process and ensure best practices are being followed. Ability to do hands-on work configuring applications whenever needed.
  • Strong SAP hands-on experience with 3 years in SAP Logistics Modules (SD, MM, WM, eWM, FSCM, gATP, APO). Certification is a plus as well as knowledge on SAP S4/HANA.
  • ABAP debugging skills to troubleshoot issues is a plus.
  • EDI monitoring, set up and mapping
  • Customer Billing experience and knowledge on e-Billing processes is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Salesforce Automation systems, such as SDFC, and knowledge on In Store Execution processes as well as Distributor Management Systems.
  • Experience managing IT Projects and/or Programs.
  • Expert in Requirements management, with knowledge of Architecture and Technology management.
  • Deep knowledge in applying agile methodologies and rapid prototyping. Understands how to coordinate the flow of work between agile teams and more traditional project-based teams. Experience as Scrum Master running Agile Projects.
  • Understanding of digital enablers and technologies such as embedded Analytics, design for Automation, UX, and modern integration.
  • Has a leader mindset, which can enable an optimal TCO for solutions delivered by Engineering & Applications.
  • Experience with deploying and driving execution via performance measurement, benchmarking, and related visual management.
  • Held prior accountabilities that required influencing leaders outside of administrative authority.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing people in offsite and remote locations.
  • Strong service delivery skills.
  • Cultivates networking opportunities with peer organizations.
  • Broad range of business and IT experiences; has achieved technical and/or business certification(s).
  • Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance (remote), cultures and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines, and may extend outside the K-C organization including suppliers, partners and customers.
