Job Description

Roles and ResponsibilitiesOverview of PositionWe are seeking a world-class Data Scientist to build Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and solutions for analytics and data products, which enables customers to generate timely, high powered insights. This is an entrepreneurial role that supports BU demand through data analysis of healthcare data and other data sources. It also provides high-value assistance to customers by integrating customer data into a secured analytic environment using sophisticated algorithmic techniques including non-Euclidean metric matching and bi-directional LSTM neural network analysis. This is a critical, highly visible role within the company that has the potential to drive significant business impact. In this role the data scientist will enable Change Healthcare achieve the next generation of advanced analytics. Positioned at the intersection between sales and IT, the role is intensely involved in:

  • Data analysis
  • Validation of data outputs
  • Understanding big data
  • Some role for developer skills that productionize and transition to a formal IT team
  • Solutions that align data to use cases
  • Some support of sales, implementation, development, and customer maintenance
This role requires the ability to engage professionally and effectively with internal and external customers to understand their needs, communicate solutions, and demonstrate current states of product platforms, and create solutions that exceed customer expectations.Desired Candidate ProfileQualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, STEM or related field, Master s degree preferred
  • SQL experience in a warehouse environment, ideally cloud native
  • Cloud computing experience: AWS/Athena/Jupyter Notebooks or equivalent environment, AWS experience preferred
  • Python experience, Panda module familiarity, Github
  • Experience working with large data sets, and have experience in building Machine Learning Platforms, applying Machine Learning and deploying data-driven solutions
  • Process management, documentation
  • Ability to translate technical documentation into practical results
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to describe the logic and implications of a complex model to all types of partners (product managers, engineers, designers, senior executives)
  • Be focused on results, a self-starter, able to put the team first, and have demonstrated success in using data science to develop and deploy solutions with a focus on impact
