COP Team is responsible for Agile Transformation, Program Management, Portfolio Management, Quality and Continuous Process Improvement for Thermo Fisher ScientificHow will you make an impact We are seeking an entry level Data Science Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for providing required support for Data test engineers and validating as well as designing, documenting and performing data quality checks. Additionally, you will be collaborating to articulate increasingly complex work to a wide variety of stakeholdersAs a data science quality engineer, you will implement methods to improve data reliability and quality. combine raw information from different sources to create consistent and machine-readable formats. test architectures that enable data extraction and transformation for predictive or prescriptive modeling.construct datasets that are easy to analyze and support company requirements and early indications of deviations from the standard process and potential excursionsOverall, you ll strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals.What will you do

• Support Data analysts by providing prepped and clean data
• Work as part of a team to find trends in data and raw data
• Identify opportunities to optimize report delivery
• Develop SQL views or Queries for use by analysts or various departments
• Providing feedback on usability and serviceability, trace the result to the quality risk and

report it to concerned people

• Testing all aspects of the product/system like function/component, system, regression, and service.
• Support reporting and analysis functions that enable data-driven decision-making
• Provide summary analyses in written and oral presentation settings
• Develop system test cases and document results, research system issues and document findings
• Work independently or with guidance as per team needs
• Masters degree in computer science engineering from an accredited university (desired not required)
• Bachelor s degree with major in computer science engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university (preferred)

• 1 to 3 years experience in Database Management, generating medium to high complexity SQL queries for QA validation, debugging data issues etc.
• Working knowledge of Oracle/MSSQL/Redshift Databases and any SQL IDE s e,g. SQL Developer/DB Visualizer/Toad etc.
• 1 to 3 years experience in extraction, transformation and Loading techniques (ETL) for data in multiple formats from multiple sources
• Basic knowledge of Python programming language
• Familiar with a cloud infrastructure like AWS or Azure and respective cloud storage systems like AWS S3 /Azure Blob.
• Experience in development model: Agile/waterfall
• Great attitude towards learning new things and taking on any kind of tasks
• Analytical skills, Attention to details, Ability to work in a team as well as an individual

Good to have Skills

• Work experience in Databricks and PySpark
• Experience on CI/CD tools and model
• Experience in Tricentis Tosca Automation tool with Data Integrity module

Non-technical Qualifications

• Highly self-driven, execution-focused, with a willingness to do what it takes to deliver results as you will be expected to rapidly cover a considerable amount of demands on data integration
• Understanding of Testing methodology and actual experience writing functional and regression test design specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in person, by telephone, and with large teams.
• Must be able to work cross-functionally. Above all else, must be equal parts data-driven and results-driven.
