Roles and ResponsibilitiesHi,Hope you are doing fine!Opening for Design Engineer with US based MNC- Bangalore(Basavangudi)Know about the Company-Company is a leader in providing display merchandisers, refrigeration systems, installation and services to food retailers around the worldWork Location-Bangalore Experirnce- 3-4 YearsPosition Summary: The scope of this position involves Design, drafting and documentation of Parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies using CAD and Team center, Preparation of BOM and MOA.Principal AccountabilitiesDesign of Parts, sub-Assemblies & Assemblies using Solid Edge (ST-6) to achieve new product requirements and current product improvementsCreate documentation through CAD drawings & material bills using PLM (Team center) to convey product designs to production, suppliers and customers.Participate in Design review, detailed drawings Review and material bills.Work on sub-assembly, case assembly and kits design and development for Refrigerated Display cases.Press F11 to jump to each fieldInteract with onsite engineers / Order management team to get the inputs and update the project status.Engage in self-learning and develop new skills to improve productivity.Minimum supervision of daily work schedules and activities. Provide updates on progress or significant project issues to Supervisor and/or other team members.Minimum Requirements Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering with min 3-4 years of industry experienceMust be fully competent in 3D CAD modeling, assembly and piece part construction, (preference given to knowledge of Solid edge ST 6.Knowledge of Engineering change management (ECN) and Bill of material systems, (Preference will be given to person with hands on experience with Team Center). Exposure to ERP system BaaN is an added advantageMust be fully thorough with sheet metal design standards / material standards, manufacturing process etc.Basic understanding about refrigeration and refrigerated display cases.Should have good communication skills and able to drive projects by interacting with onsite teamTechnical KnowledgeGood knowledge in 3D modelling, preferably in Solid Edge ST-6. Must be familiar with Team center process. Basic knowledge of Refrigeration and refrigerated cases preferred.
