    21603 Development Lead (Open)Position Type:Full timeLocation(s):IN.Bangalore.Office1Position Details:CSG is a leader in innovative customer engagement, revenue management, and payments solutions that make ordinary customer experiences extraordinary.As a flexible first organization, you can find our remote and on-site locations here .Lead Software Engineer The RoleThis role sees you technically leading an engineering-lead team of developers working on our cutting-edge platforms for telecommunications service providers. This role reports to the Solution Development Lead.What you will doSolution Engineering
    • Own the software delivery of new and existing customer solutions built on top of the Telflow platform.
    • Own the application component, and inter-component, detailed designs and ensure implementations by yourself and other team members adhere to architecture, design & coding standards.
    • Proactively drive our technology platforms forward in terms of service implementation design, implementation uniformity, software performance, security, etc.
    Operational Design Considerations
    • While we won t be looking for you to own the entire infrastructure toolchain/stack for our platforms, you will ensure all software built by our team adheres to our logging, monitoring, health checks, configuration, database management/migration, code test coverage, etc. best practices.
    • Ensure that backwards compatibility is front of mind in our software to ensure that upgrades are smooth and undue burden is not placed on our operations and services team due to thoughtless decisions.
    Software Engineering Standards & Quality
    • Own the coding standards for solution engineering in conjunction with other engineering leads.
    • Establish processes and procedures to manage/maintain development standards and code quality (unit tests, code coverage, etc.).
    • Establish processes and procedures to move platform performance forward ensuring that performance bottlenecks are addressed.
    Leadership & Mentoring
    • Oversee and lead the activities of both Junior and Senior Software Engineers within the team.
    • Coach and mentor members of the team, setting clear objectives for their professional development.
    • Be available as a team escalation point for high priority or technically complex issues.
    • Mentoring, guidance and performance reviews for your direct reports.
    Prerequisites
    • 5 years of experience in Java software development
    • Completely at home in a Linux / MacOS / Docker development environment
    • PostgreSQL Database experience
    • Knowledge of BPMN is desirable
