Job Description

*Director - Security Settlements - Change the Bank As a core member of an Agile squad, the successful candidate will work closely with the Product Owner to develop and deliver solutions for Security Services. Security Services is in flight with a multi-year Technology strategy further increasing the Firms control framework and scalability.Primary Responsibilities: -Management of the solution design, from idea creation through to refinement, development, testing and production release. -Engage with a large diversity of stakeholders to identify business needs and define current state of processes and related systems. -Actively contribute to the design of future state operating models through incorporating business and regulatory requirements. -Write / document detailed user stories, impact assessments and functional specifications -Partner with technology and operations, ensuring that key stakeholders are included in the Agile journey. -Prepare test strategy and approach. Oversee/carry out test execution The SSBO Change the Bank (CTB) team has a significant change management and product development mandate as part of a global team. We have teams based in London, Glasgow, Tokyo, Mumbai, Baltimore and New York and a proven track record of staff mobility - both between locations and between different businesses within Morgan Stanley Primary Responsibilities: - Business Analysis - Project planning and control - Project governance/senior stakeholder management - Financial management and Return on Investment (cost / benefit tracking) - Status Tracking and Reporting - Issue and Risk Management analysis - Coordination of changes across multiple teams - Develop an understanding of current working practices in the line - Lead detailed analysis with line staff, wider Ops groups and Business units to formulate and consolidate business requirements - Document business processes - Document screens and screen flows - Document business rules and reference data requirements - Liaise with IT colleagues to ensure that business requirements are clearly understood - Become a key contact for IT colleagues to assist on query resolution during system design and build - Produce and distribute minutes of analysis meetings - Remain current with all other areas of analysis across the Change program - Prepare test strategy and approach - Oversee/carry out documentation of test scripts - Oversee/carry out test execution - Provide progress reporting through effective and meaningful metrics - Co-ordinate and provide training for test users during UAT - Plan, test and control deployment and verification process - Produce user manuals and reference materials, as required - Produce training materials and participate in the delivery of training, as required - Input to production support of the deployed process/system, as required - Create and maintain a continuous improvement culture internally & externally, *- Demonstrated strong performer and politically astute leader with experience and success in setting clear priorities, executing well and delegating effectively; - Demonstrable ability to effectively manage a diverse stakeholder group (internally and externally), harmonizing different objectives in order to bring significant contribution to the business. - Exceptional, analytical, communication, problem solving and relationship building skills are required; - Strong written and verbal communication skills; - Ability to work well under time constraints and prioritize appropriately across multiple projects. - Strong strategic and business planning skills; - Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for tasks - Proven delivery track record in delivering change across multiple operational teams; - Keen analytic and problem-solving skills, and sound judgement to support and enable effective decision-making; - Extensive leadership skills, with a track record of success; - Experience of making decisions in a changing environment and anticipating future needs; - Knowledge of trade flows across all products; - Strong/Advanced MS Office skills (including Visio, Excel, PowerPoint); - Strong project management skills, including project planning and control, stakeholder management, status tracking and reporting, issue and risk management, and budget management; - Ability to think strategically and provide insight into how to improve existing business and technology processesMorgan Stanley is an equal opportunities employer.
