This role is focused on driving a team of engineers working on the Switching Core portfolio products which caters to enterprises, education, health, finance verticals among others. In this key role, along with leading the engineering team, you will be the bridge toward multi-functional engineering teams, Product marketing and field teams, thereby providing the inputs and collaborating with these teams and also bringing in required knowledge to the product offerings to make this holistic.REQUIREMENTS- 15+ years experience in software engineering & leadership roles- Strong engineering delivery and execution track record, expertise in platform and features development, architecture & design concepts, quality, integration, testing, and processes like CI/CD.- Ability to attract talent and develop the next generation of leaders.- Ability to build trusting, meaningful relationships with peers, stakeholders, and partners both internal and external to Cisco- Excellent written and verbal social skills, including technical influencing, conflict management, negotiation, and public presentations- Focus towards customer happiness and customer first approach- Identify and drive innovation in Cisco products, services, solutions, technologies, and processes- Leadership skills to include coaching/mentoring, critical thinking, facilitation, change leadership, and team developmentTECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE- Software development and overall automation including waterfall, Agile, Continuous Integration, build and test automation, performance- Proven experience in platform and feature development from architecture and design standpoint, development and execution, UT/IT and its automation, Test methodologies.- Core infrastructure networking technologies, including understanding of hardware, networking protocols and implementations at ASIC/NPU level- Controllers and management of networks will be added advantage for solution offeringsEDUCATIONBachelor degree.
