Job Description

Specialties:Software Architecture & Design ~ Problem Solving ~ Strategic Thinking & Execution ~ Multi Cloud ~ Distributed Systems ~ IP Networking (LAN and WLAN) ~ Network Management (On-Prem and Cloud) ~ Microservice-based Applications ~ Visibility and Analytics.Responsibilities:

  • Develops strategy and technology roadmaps for software applications design and development across multiple platforms and products in the Global Business Unit and company at large.
  • Communicates strategy and technology roadmaps to executive staff, industry partners and customers; leverages recognized technical and business expertise to influence, guide, and shape business strategy and decision- making at the highest organizational levels.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and knowledge of DevOps tool chains and processes.
  • Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company.
  • Provides consultation, design input, and feedback for application development and design reviews across multiple organizations and architectures
  • Guides and mentors less- experienced staff members to set an example of software applications design and development innovation and excellence.
  • Participates in and provides input on process for selection of future technical leaders.
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelors, Masters or PHD degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Typically 15+ years experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Industry expert regarding development of software applications design tools and languages.
  • History of innovation with multiple patents or deployed solutions in the field of software applications design.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at the most senior organizational levels.
  • Strong in Cloud Engineering skillsets, and have worked in the Linux environment
  • Should be hands on with Kubernetes.
  • Proficient with kubernetes concepts like Pod, services, Volume , Namespace, repicaset , Deployment, statefulset, daemonset, job etc.
  • Should know kubernetes components like kube-apiserver, etcd, kube-scheduler, kube-controller manager, kubelet, kubeproxy, kube-dns etc.
  • Expert in one of the following programming languages, Python, Go Language, Java, C/C++.
  • Exposure to any one of AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Rackspace, etc., would be a value add.
  • Must have worked in agile environment, with CICD exposure
  • Must have knowledge of NoSQL databases at conceptual level; able to debug DB related product issues
  • Good to have worked on automation frameworks (e.g. Jenkins)
  • Knowledge in areas of performance and scale testing, and performance measurement approaches is value add.
  • Basic networking knowledge with WiFi is good to have
