Job ID: JR0141453Job Category: EngineeringPrimary Location: Bangalore, KA INOther Locations:Job Type: Experienced HireEC firmware development EngineerJob DescriptionJoin a highly motivated, global and agile subsystem engineering team responsible for delivering Embedded Controller (EC) Firmware across in support of CCG Client roadmap. EC is responsible for Power sequencing, Thermal and Battery Management, Keyboard (PS2) management, and UCSI and Type C management functionality of the client platform. In this role, you will be driving EC firmware development and user experience, use cases and features. Successful candidate will be a strong contributor to platform definition and will lead the execution. You will define and drive design, contribute to development and debug, and integration of end to end subsystem solutions. You will engage with cross functional teams like BIOS, Board Design, platform validation and tools teams, third party hardware and software vendors, OS vendors and customers in gathering and analyzing EC requirements, drive tech readiness, define a feasible, modular, reusable and scalable solutions. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Work closely with the Architects to analyze new subsystem software requirements, architecture, and define the execution plan aligned to platform milestones. Lead the execution by defining a detailed integration plan, and drive alignment with stakeholders. Participate in Program management forums like PSXT and PXT and update the status/represent the team. Discuss technical details and close opens in technical forums like WG meeting and Architectural meeting. Leading and contributing to EC subsystem software solutions at a platform level. Own and drive: Platform PO/feature bring-up, mapping of Functional requirements to Test Case, work with IP teams (SW/HW), feature enablement, hand-on debug of failures and coordinate with partners to root cause and resolve issues, work with platform validation teams for scale out validation. Contribute to the definition of Subsystem Test strategy, Test Case definition mapped to requirements, and work with internal teams on subsystem validation through the product life cycle. Deliver collaterals (e.g. sample sources/open source code, white papers, etc.) to ramp OEMs/ODMs through customer enabling teamsQualificationsQualifications: - Demonstrated technical leadership in delivering complex EC subsystem use cases and features to customers - Excellent understanding of EC functionalities as mentioned above. - Strong system software/Firmware experience in RTOS based systems. Hands on experience in RTOS Foundation and BSP Framework. - Working knowledge and hands on experience in Zephyr RTOS is highly preferred - Experience in C/C++ programming and is adept at using development environments such as Visual Studio, debugging tools and power/performance tools. - Device driver and middleware development, integration, debugging for subsystems that span multiple horizontal and vertical layers. - Strong written and oral communications skills to influence and collaborate across a range of audiences in business and technical groups. - Proven experience working through the full product cycle from initial design to final product. - Demonstrated familiarity with Intel Core and Atom SoC architecture and platform technologies is a plus. - Must be a good team player with results oriented mindsetInside this Business GroupThe Client Computing Group is responsible for all aspects of the client computing business across Phone, Phablet, Tablet and PC platforms, leading Intels efforts to transform client computing through technologies, new form factors, and driving Intels corporate-wide user experience initiatives.
