Job Description

    • Technical expert in EDA (Electronic Design Automation) CAD.
    • Main responsibilities are to manage and set up EDA, DevOps and other engineering software tools and provide tech support (license/binary install, HPC admin, access control, and setup training) for full utilization of the features.
    • Engage and support designers to define, drive and maintain new EDA, DevOps and other engineering software tools, flows, environment and licenses.
    • Lead and establish HPC compute infrastructure definition based on EDA and engineering needs.
    • Interface with internal IT, designer teams and external EDA vendors/partners.
    • May team with designers on specific EDA engineering flow development and optimization based on prior experience and team needs.
    • Start as individual contribute but expect to grow and manage a small central EDA CAD support team.
    • With limited supervision, takes input from design teams to adapt to design conditions. Demonstrates agility for change management.
    • Must have experience dealing with customers, vendors and partners with limited supervision
    • Resolve conflicts with employees and peers with limited supervision
    • Tactfully and diplomatically handle sensitive issues with employees and peers
    Functional Knowledge
    • Demonstrates in-depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in own job family and basic knowledge of other related job families
