We are starting a new development team in Bangalore, India and this is a great opportunity to be one of the first engineers on the team. As a member of the Software Engineering in the Quartus Prime Pro Synthesis team, you will help build the industry leading RTL Compiler for FPGAs. You will engage on the most sophisticated customer designs and help them with their challenges in terms of RTL coding style, language compliance, language inference, logic or functional errors, code generation optimization. You will help diagnose, root cause, fix these issues, devise complete verification solutions that guarantee functional correctness. You will get immersed in a multi-geolocation team that embraces complimentary skills and is customer obsessed.Required knowledge: Experience with C++ programming is a must (4+ years)Preferred knowledge: At least one of the Hardware Description Languages : VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog (3+ years)Experience with at least one of Compilers, Graph algorithms, OptimizationsOptional knowledge: Scripting with TCL, Python, Bash, Experience running RTL Simulation tools, Formal Verification tools.QualificationsBS/MS/PhD degree in Electrical Computer Software Engineering or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant industry experience Strong Experience with C++ programming is a must (4+ years) Strong experience in HDL: VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog Understanding of FPGA architectures, FPGA synthesis, EDA flows Knowledge of Quartus tool flow Tcl and/or Python scripting skills Dedication to customer experience and usability Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to influence across organization boundaries Experience working with cross-site and cross-geo teams.Inside this Business GroupThe Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) was formed from the acquisition of Altera.
