Job Description

    9 to 12 years experience as production/visual/graphic designer, preferably within all the broader domains of digital experience design (Mobile / Web / Advertising)An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating strong visual design skills and innovative interaction and branding work.Strong understanding of color theory, typography.Experience in working with global teams.Familiarity with driver distraction guidelines a plus.
    • Experience with mock-up and prototype development a plus.
    • Excellent user experience and interface design skills.
    • Interactive prototyping capabilities with standard tools/languages.
    • Understanding of hardware/software/service design challenges including mobile and tablet form factors.
    Skills: High proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Dreamweaver etc.Working knowledge of HTML5 / CSS3 / FlashAbility to create POC (Click prototypes), Animation videos, storyboards to explain design concepts.Ability to work with highly technical teams and handle multiple projects.Creativity and passion for design and the digital evolution of automobiles.Familiarity with user centered design principles, and usability theories, best practices, and methodologies.Excellent English language communication (written and verbal)Good understanding of Android / iOS guidelines.Creative representation skills and exceptional attention to detail.Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
    • Creativity and passion for design and the digital evolution of automobiles.
    • Familiarity with user centered design principles, and usability theories, best practices, and methodologies.
    • High proficiency using Microsoft Visio, Balsamiq Mockups, Sketch, or an equivalent wire-framing tool.
    • Awareness about current trends in UI/UX design (Automotive and otherwise)
    • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
    • Excellent communication, leadership and presentation skills.
    • Well-organized and great attention to detail with pixel-perfect craftsmanship.
    • Demonstrated track record in innovative problem solving and design excellence. Portfolio is compulsory.

    • Create wireframes, screen-flow diagrams, Information Architecture & UI spec documentation for individual applications that comply with existing Mercedes-Benz Interaction Design Patterns and latest OS specs (iOS and Android)
    • Releasing HMI Guidelines and Specifications for all the stakeholders.
    • Consider localization, scalability, and ease of maintenance when developing UI Specifications.
    • Strong adherence to the in-house design process and work culture.
    • Design research and strategy, keeping in mind social, cultural, and technological trends and developments happening around the world.
    • Creative collaboration and pro-active inter-team support.
