Job Description

* An electromechanical expert to lead the design, development, test, support and interface with cross functional teams for the development of new offers or evolution of existing offers.Key responsibilities

  • Development of product options and collaborate with cross functional teams in the refinement of Marketing offer requirements.
  • Design, Develop the conceptual & detailed product models. 3D component, assembly creation, 2D drawing creation using GD&T, BOM creation and development of other specifications.
  • Analyze regulatory compliance and quantify safety risks, propose mitigations using FMEA and FTA.
  • Assist Project management team with schedule, effort and resource requirements.
  • Interact with Global Supply Chain to produce pre-pilot and pilot builds. Work with vendors to generate prototypes for functional tests.
  • Prepare, execute and document verification and validation test plans including test method and acceptance criteria.
  • Contribute to packaging, user documentation, safety labels and product markings.
  • Document intellectual property and contribute novel ideas for patent applications.
  • Direct tasks of mechanical designers, technicians, and other resources. Ability to present and communicate clearly project summaries to internal stakeholders.
  • Perform First Article Inspection and part quality approvals based on form, fit, function.
, *Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 12 to 15 years of hands on experience in design, development and testing of Electromechanical products such as Inverters, Drives, Servers, network switches etc.
  • Practical knowledge in designing assemblies using sheet metal, mounting PCBA s, cable harnesses, electrical contacts/terminals/receptacles, springs, fasteners is mandatory.
  • Experience in 3D CAD modeling & drafting using Creo (sheetmetal, cable), ECAD/MCAD Integration.
  • Tolerance stack-up analysis and knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning, Tolerancing and Engineering Drawing Practices.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, IEC/UL/CSA/NEMA standards, National Electric Code etc.
  • Experience and use of simulation tools for finite element analysis and thermal simulation is preferred.
  • Understanding of EMI/EMC, thermal impact would be an advantage.
  • Design of packaging used for electronic equipment would be desired.
