Role Summary:As an Embedded Firmware leader, you are responsible for delivering the Firmware Technical Specification, design (State Machine / High / Low level document), development using C or C++ with good technical management skills. Also responsible for DFMEA s, Test procedure/ test plan. He / She works closely with Project Team to define the project objectives, create a plan for and executing the plan to achieve those objectives. The Embedded Firmware shall a working knowledge of embedded firmware, Embedded hardware, and Product level / system level technical knowledge.Key Responsibilities:Embedded C, C++, Experience in Building Firmware Architecture and Architectural Views.Experience on industrial protocols (Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus Serial, CAN, Ethernet /IP, IEC61850). Exposure to Wireless Protocols like Zigbee, Bluetooth, WIFI.Hands on experience in design and development on 16/32 bit microcontrollers (ARM, ColdFire, PowerPC.), RTOS (VxWorks, ThreadX, Embos.) and usage of IDE, toolchain, debuggers. Worked on programming and interfacing peripherals like timers, UART, CAN, ADC, DAC, IO, I2C, SPI, LCD, RTC sensors and actuators. Memory Interfacing Techniques. System Level understanding to manage requirements, Drive project team on design, Good understanding of UML.Hands on Experience on Code Composer Studio Compiler and IAR CompilerShould have excellent debugging skills, HW/FW integration and debug, Code verification & validation, Product/system test support & developmentNice to have: Exposure to embedded software development for switchgear and PLC products. Exposure to Switch Gear and Circuit breakers. Knowledge of Solar PV based systems is desirableNice to have: Exposure to Web technologies, HTML, JavaScript s and Webservers.Documentation of PMP deliverables Firmware code, Hex files, Flow chart Diagrams, Firmware Specifications, Time state diagram, DFMEA s and Test procedure/ test plan.Good communication skills. Proficiency: English mustPosition involves up to 25% travel to remote areas in India or outside India., Preferred Experience of Project or Technical management:Understanding product development process according to PMP or PEP process, He / She shall be able to manage multiple small projectsExperience in managing the scope, schedule, and budget commitments reflected in the Project Management Plan.Implement and enforce change control over project scope, schedule, resources and budget.Negotiate with functional stake holders and/or organizational management to obtain adequate resources with appropriate skills to staff the project team.Manage the timely resolution of issues, including escalation of issues outside of project team s scopeContinually identify and proactively manage project risks & issues, ensure corrective action plans up to closureReport monthly on the key points, alert Control management necessary (in case of drift, blocking situation .)Proficient in Microsoft Office, Visio and other programs/scheduling tool including but not limited to Word and Excel.
