Come prepared to be inspired.Engineer, Electrical EngineeringProvides New product and sustaining engineering (including DFx) support for a specific product or group of products from pre-concept commit through end of life. Collaborate with design, process, test and reliability engineering to solve problems.Sustains products with cost reduction and design related yield improvements.

  • Perform New product and Sustaining engineering
  • DFx: DFM, DFR, DFSC, DFT
  • Value engineering (component selection, process efficiency, and design changes)
  • BOM structuring and BOM risk Management.
  • Design tool proficiency (DFx, schematic, CAD, other CAE tools)
  • Cost avoidance (pre-A0) and sustaining cost reduction
  • Design lab experimentation / debug (proficiency continuum) / DOE /EFA
  • Technical lifecycle management (defect reduction team participation, new component qualification, etc)
  • Assessing CM and supply chain technical capability gaps
  • Knowledge and application of industry innovations / trends to product or program
  • Creating, analyzing, and releasing product documentation
  • Manufacturing (Process), FMEA
  • Design FMEA
  • Design diagnostic analysis and input / influence
  • Leadership and direction of complex issue resolution
Skills required:Very good understanding on Electronic product design and architectureGood understanding of Hardware interfaces High speed serial interfaces, PCIE, Ethernet, SATA, I2C etcKnowledge of PCB design and AllegroKnowledge of Valor and DFM is a PlusKnowledge of PCBA Manufacturing, System Build and NPI processKnowledge of Product development process from concept to launch phaseExpected to lead cross-functional TeamsStrong communication skills both verbal and writtenConflict resolution & a problem solver, decision making & an influencerPresentation skillsFlexibility to work in various time zones is importantWhy CiscoAt Cisco, each person brings their unique talents to work as a team and make a difference.Yes, our technology changes the way the world works, lives, plays and learns, but our edge comes from our people.
