Job Description

    The Engineering Leader sits within the Schneider Digital team reporting to the Senior General Manager Digital Strategy. They are responsible for driving the engineering practice for Employee Experience team with primary focus on Nexus, which is the new digital workspace (Intranet) for Schneider Electric built on a serverless architecture hosted in AWS & Azure, that will offer a personalized digital experience for communication, collaboration, knowledge, wellbeing, and productivity that will deliver relevant information, services, and insights to employees across a set of unified digital channels. Main responsibilities
    • Lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and deployment of serverless applications
    • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
    • Act as a subject matter expert on serverless architecture and provide guidance to the team on best practices, patterns, and methodologies
    • Be responsible for the overall technical direction of the project, including the selection of technologies and tools in consultation with Architecture
    • Manage and prioritize the teams workload and ensure that deliverables are completed on time and to a high standard
    • Be involved in the entire software development life cycle, from design to deployment
    • Continuously improve the teams processes, tools, and technologies
    • Ensure the quality of the codebase by implementing and maintaining automated tests and code reviews
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, helping them to develop their skills and advance in their careers

    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
    • Masters degree or relevant experience is a plus.
    • 10+ years for software development experience with 4+ years in managing engineering teams
    Skills
    • Strong experience in the design, development, and deployment of serverless applications
    • Experience leading a team of engineers and managing their workload
    • Strong understanding of cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform and their serverless offerings
    • Experience with event-driven programming and serverless frameworks and tools such as AWS SAM, Serverless Framework, and AWS CDK
    • Familiar with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
    • Strong understanding of CI/CD tools and methodologies, specifically tailored for serverless applications
    • Strong understanding of serverless security best practices
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Strong communication and leadership skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
