We plan on significantly enhancing our Technology capabilities and are implementing a new technology architecture led through Platform Operating Model.Show More We offerThe Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading, developing and nurturing the EDI platform engineering teams, including directing, coordinating and exercising authority for planning, development and delivery of EDI & Integration platforms. The Engineering Manager will lead programs and develop capabilities to achieve timely completion of global solutions across the Maersk estate for applications, customers, integration partners, and strategic priorities. Team members are comprised of colleagues with various disciplines and backgrounds, staffed and recruited globally and operating in a near virtual development model.Show More Key responsibilitiesLead engineering teams to deliver current demands while modernizing our approach and delivering with a focus on standardization, simplicity and high quality Line manager of 20-30 geographically dispersed engineering colleagues with additional vendor resources Work closely with Product Lead to understand business needs across product portfolio, spar with the Architect to refine solution designs and spar with the Scrum Master to enable agile on an ad hoc basis Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees followed by continuous development of capabilities Develop and nurture technical talent Collaborate with Product Owner on initiatives, priorities, and resource capacity to achieve business objectives Promote and enforce a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with applicable legislation and company policies and procedures, which includes a harassment-free environment with strong focus on diversity, inclusion, engaged employees and living the company values Drive an ownership mentality in a DEVSECOPS way of working, best practices and Maersk strategic direction Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the EDI Engineering organization, evolving and reengineering processes Coordinate and direct implementation projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing technical activities against, at times aggressive, deadlines as defined by our customers Manage and own capabilities and run integration solutions as products Monitor progress against delivery schedules and budgets; forecast allocation of resources Reviews and set department objectives to further enhance products and ensure consistency with corporate objectives Plan and formulate EDI engineering global initiatives and builds teams for success Drive permanent corrective action plans to resolve any issues related to quality, production systems, infrastructure, and trading partner solutions Coordinate EDI engineering changes and approvals to meet customer deadlines Liaise with vendors for resources, software, and capabilities Drive continuous improvement to maintain profitability and competitiveness Accountable for detailed analysis & sizing of requirements for integration programs Full end to end management of solutions with a focus on customer experience Risk, issue and dependency management across the platform Manage capabilities and service levels in accordance with agreed SLAs Proving clear and concise instructions to engineering teams across the B2B space.Show More We are looking for10+ years of experience in software development end experience with agile and DevOps in a complex, cross application, multi-functional environment 5+ years of experience as senior engineer having built solutions in an agile/DevOps, message driven solutions and 3+ years of team lead/ team management in that space. 7-10+ years of experience developing and implementing Java JEE and JSE applications. Industry experience preferred EDI & Integrations experience preferred or working knowledge of the internal Maersk applications and business systems. Involvement in maintaining solution standards, partner migrations, and new application integration preferredTechnical skills In depth understanding of iterative software development and various methodologies such as DEVSECOPS, agile, Kanban, hybrid models, CI/CD EDI standards familiarity - ANSI X12 & EDIFACT XML schemas, positional flat-file and proprietary formats MFT protocols & communication experience SFTP, AS2, SMTP, HTTPS, FTP Certificate management, encryption Java JEE and JSE, JSON, SQL familiarity, Oracle database API, Kafka, Webservices SOAP/REST familiarity EDI data integration and transformation tools one or more of the following: SEEBURGER, Oracle B2B, Application Integrator, AMPS, OpenText, Sterling Cloud technologies and solutions preferably Azure Atlassian suite Confluence & Jira or similar Tactical & Strategic planning with cost/benefit estimation Business Requirement and Scope management Application & integration process monitoringBusiness skills Stakeholder management and communication through all levels of the organization Negotiation and buy-in, balancing short term commitments vs long term strategy Planning & Delivery, Change management engagement Managing / motivating / coaching / mentoring colleaguesPersonal profile Analytical, Engineering and Problem Solving Exhibits Managerial Courage and Composure Drives for results Highly motivated Manages multiple deliveries in a quickly changing environment Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Communication, presentation and advisory skills Builds relationships and trust, displays servant leadership Works well under pressure and can navigate uncertaintyShow More,
