Software Engineer receives general instructions on new projects and works autonomously to complete deliverables. Design, develop, test, and implement ETL packages (SSIS)Design, develop, test, and implement data integration solutions using numerous sources and targets (e.g. SQL, Excel, flat file, XML, APIs, ) Implement data flow monitoring system with error logging, reporting, and recovery features. Design, develop, test, and deploy database objects, such as tables, views, foreign key constraints, triggers, and stored procedures (T-SQL) Perform SQL query performance tuning, which may include index recommendations or hardware configuration considerations, in addition to query and database design Study data flows and recommend changes to drive business outcomes though efficiency and workflow improvements. Ensure data security is included into solution design Ability to juggle multiple projects Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills Timely follow-up of priority requests Practices good software engineering techniques and standards to reduce coding errors, ensures robustness and efficiency of work product Works to identify and resolves technical or product problems Collaborates with team members and partners with others as needed to ensure successful completion of assigned tasks Participates in code reviews and incorporates recommendations Creates and maintains software design specifications document Computer Skills : Strong knowledge of SQL queries, T-SQL, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Hands-on experience in Azure SQL, Azure EDW and Azure data factory is preferred Proven experience as a Microsoft BI Developer Experience interfacing with Oracle Databases Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau) Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework. Excellent knowledge of debugging, tuning and optimizing performance of database queries Ability to work in Agile and Waterfall environment, requirements gathering and documentation including flow diagrams Strong technical and analytical skills ,
