This way we help create a compelling business case for embedding the right analytical practice at the heart of client s decision-making.The opportunity We re looking for a candidate with 2 6 years of with strong expertise into ETL practice with tools like DataStage development experience.Your key responsibilities

• Work as a team member to contribute in various technical streams of data management projects
• Comprehend and translate business requirements into technical specifications and build elegant, efficient, and scalable solutions based on specifications
• Complex Data blending with ETL tools, extracting data from the source system (database, files, SFDC etc.)
• Develop ETL processes to manage data quality, data consolidation and data reconciliation processes.
• Develop data movement audit and error management processes and support system Integration Testing for Data Migration/ETL.
• Completion of assigned tasks on time and regular status reporting to the lead
• Collaborate with technology team and support the development of analytical models with the effective use of data and analytic techniques and validate the model results and articulate the insights to the business team
• Interface and communicate with the onsite teams directly to understand the requirement and determine the optimum solutions
• Provide product and design level functional and technical expertise along with best practices
• Get involved in business development activities like creating proof of concepts (POCs), point of views (POVs), assist in proposal writing and service offering development, and capable of developing creative power point content for presentations
• Participate in organization-level initiatives and operational activities
• Ensure continual knowledge management and contribute to internal learning and development teams
• Building a quality culture
• Flexible to learn next gen technologies/scripting/new ETL tools

Skills and attributes for success

• Use an issue-based approach to deliver growth, market and portfolio strategy engagements for corporates
• Strong communication, presentation and team building skills and experience in producing high quality reports, papers, and presentations.
• Experience in executing and managing research and analysis of companies and markets, preferably from a commercial due diligence standpoint.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• BE/BTech/MCA/MBA with 2-6 years of industry experience in ETL, data analysis , development and basic modelling skills
• Expertise on SQL, procedural SQL languages and ETL tools like Informatica, SAP BODS, DataStage, ODI, SSIS etc. DataStage is a must.
• Domain Knowledge on Life Insurance or Property and Causality Insurance (PnC ).
• Should have understanding and experience of software development best practices
• Excellent business communication, Consulting, Quality process skills and team player

Ideally, you ll also have

• More than one year of experience on ETL and DWH projects using Datastage.
• Good experience in Data Migration and Integration experience using ETL tools.
• Knowledge of Insurance data models
• Experience on any of the Data Quality tools like SAS Dataflux or Informatica DQ would be an added advantage
• Understand and assess the Source to target map documents and provide the recommendations if any
• Good experience in analyse, design and develop ETL mappings, workflows and hands on Unix scripting
• Develop logical and physical data flow models for ETL applications. Translate data access, transformation and movement requirements into functional requirements and mapping designs
• Code, test, implement and maintain medium to highly complex ETL mappings and scripts to build and maintain automated ETL processes
• Good exposure to SQL, PL/SQL , DB2, Oracle, Teradata, Netezza
• Experience on Banking and Capital market domain
