Job Description

JD FOR FASHION DESIGNER (WOMENS ETHNIC WEAR):Requirement: Senior Fashion Designer Womens Ethnic wear (min. 4 years of experience)Brand VISHUDH (Ethnic Category)Responsibilities of a fashion designer :

  • Managing design process from conception to final styling
  • To identify new trends, fabrics and techniques and seeking design inspiration
  • Have knowledge of the market and be able to predict new trends.
  • Collaborating with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to the line, and create new concepts.
  • Ensuring product is in agreement with business strategy.
  • Selecting fabrics and trims. Having an eye for colour, texture and pattern and good attention to detailing
  • Creating sketches and tech pack for product development
  • Co-ordinating with the merchant and technical team to ensure development packages are accurate
  • Reviewing product for style, fit, colour and placement or artwork (print/embroidery),etc. before its final handover to the production team
Requirements of a fashion designer :
  • Should hold a Bachelors degree in Fashion Designing from NIFT/NID.
  • Should have min. of 4 years prior experience in womens ethnic wear retail/e-commerce brands.
  • Should be well versed with MS Excel, PowerPoint Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Excellent design and conceptual skill
  • Good communication skill - both written and verbal
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines by having a smarter approach towards work challenges.
