We are looking for a JavaScript Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include implementing visuals such as interactive charts, tables, pivots, maps etc. in form of re-usable codes/packages. You will work with both front-end (extensively) and back-end (limited) web development techniques. You will also be required to modify/enhance the existing visual elements and create new as per the requirements. Our ideal candidate should be able to rapidly prototype new ideas, concepts and designs and should be able to create clean, sharp, and responsive layouts from designs with HTML/CSS/JavaScript . - Vice President and Head of FICOs Global Optimization business.What You ll Contribute
• Enhance and develop new user-facing features
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Collaborate with other team members (AI and Operations Research Practitioners and Data Scientists) and customers
• Ability to balance long term deliverables and short term POC/POVs
• Build on a strong existing foundation of technologies and APIs with proven market success
What We re Seeking
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds
• Basic understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
• Good understanding of angular.js, jQuery, d3.js, plotly.js, node.js, react.js, leaflet.js
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
• Familiarity with JavaScript module loaders, such as Require.js and AMD
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance
• Bachelor or master s degree in Computer Science with 5 years of experience with HTML/CSS and JavaScript frameworks mentioned above
