Job Description

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.Responsibilities:

  • Drives Global Indirect Procurement (GIP) Systems team Project Management and Solutions Architecture leadership with a focus on GIP s suite of SAP Ariba and SAP Fieldglass cloud applications.
  • Leads the development of program and/or process solutions to meet business objectives and deliver continuous improvements.
  • Provides data and industry analysis; reports results to senior managers.
  • Meets with Stakeholder senior managers to understand business priorities and translate them into procurement strategies
  • Develops and utilizes business and financial modeling tools.
  • Monitors and analyzes owned programs, process solutions, key metrics and process-oriented tasks and situations; focuses on improving current areas with significant independent judgment.
  • Provides input on risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management and operation strategies.
  • Assesses current and evolving business models in the marketplace.
  • Works across cross-functional teams to develop solutions as well as maintain and enhance current business processes, focusing on particular segments.
  • Provides independent, strategic development and analytic and strategic support to drive organizational goals.
  • Provides mentoring and guidance to lower-level contributors.
  • Develops and executes strategic plans and initiatives across HP businesses and/or geographies.
Education and Experience Required:
  • First level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain function.
  • Global procurement experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Mastery in English and local language.
  • Excellent understanding of global procurement processes and industry
  • Excellent project management skills and leadership.
  • Excellent analytical and technical aptitude.
  • Excellent business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge, use and influence of procurement tools and applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentation abilities.
  • Excellent team leadership and influencing skills.
  • Strong understanding of HP.
  • Lean Six Sigma or PMP certification preferred
