Job Description

    As highwaysengineer you will beresponsible for planning, designing, and supervising projects that keep road networks working efficiently. The job role of a highways engineer may involve the following duties: Designing local road schemes and maintaining the road network, including structures such as bridges.Job description
    • A Highway Engineer (Supervision) is responsible for supervising highway construction and maintenance projects.
    • They work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of highway projects.
    • Key Responsibilities: Project Supervision: Oversee all phases of highway construction and maintenance projects.
    • Monitor project progress, schedule, and budget to ensure adherence to plans.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality and safety compliance.
    • Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process.
    • Quality Control: Ensure that construction materials and methods meet industry standards and project specifications.
    • Conduct quality inspections and tests to verify compliance with regulations and project requirements.
    • Implement corrective actions if deviations from standards are identified.
    • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries on the construction site.
    • Conduct safety meetings and trainings for construction crews
    • Investigate accidents and implement preventive measures to enhance site safety.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to facilitate smooth project execution.
    • Communicate project updates, challenges, and resolutions to stakeholders, including clients and regulatory authorities.
    • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed project records, including daily progress reports, inspection reports, and correspondence
