Software Engineer 2Join us as a Software Engineer 2 on our Server Storage team in Bangalore to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.What you ll achieveAs a Software Engineer 2, you will be responsible to contribute and set the technical and design direction for a storage subsystem in Dell s server storage team, and responsibility for its implementation into the larger server and storage product lines. This includes feature definition, development process execution and improvement, integration testing, fault isolation and resolution, manufacturing release, and resolution of design issues found in the field and during development.You Will:
• Perform activities necessary to take a design from concept to production which may include: design reviews, feature implementation, debug, test, issue resolution and factory support.
• Drive product issues to closure with true root cause and a strong sense of urgency and ownership
• Partner and work across organizations and sites to ensure success in the business
• Exert influence cross-functionally to meet goals and support the team
• Interaction with extended teams locally and at other Dell Development centers worldwide
• Team member is required to have strong verbal and written communication;
• Has understanding and defining complex system/solution design; and demonstrating engineering expertise and rigor through debug of complex issues for enterprise solutions.
Experience:
• 3-5 Years of experience in Systems Development Engineering.
Essential Requirements:
• Experience in Systems development engineering using C Programming.
• Experience embedded systems architecture.
• Experience in SAS, SATA and SCSI protocols.
• Experience in RAID concepts such as: striping, caching, parity, failure & recovery, redundancy, storage performance, and hardware acceleration.
• Experience in Design and product development experience with Enterprise Storage products.
• Demonstrated ability to work under and deliver to date-driven schedules; write and analyze requirements, functional specifications, design specifications, test plans, and documentation.

Education:
• BS or MS Engineering degree in Computer Science or Electronics.
