  • Assist in developing and Implementing Food Quality and Food Safety Road Map for the Flipkart to ensure end to end Food Safety, meets the business requirements and customer deliverables as well as ensuring the departmental performance against goals.
  • Work closely with Private Label Team to ensure 100% Supplier Base compliance in terms of Food safety.
  • Shall have sound knowledge on legal requirements with respect to FSSAI and Legal Metrology regulations, Packaging Standards and Food Categorisation Code.
  • Evaluates and resolve urgent issues with regulatory agencies,
  • Formulate various food safety training programs such as Food Security, Traceability, Recalls, Crises Management, Sanitation, storage, rinsing of food cross contamination and food Handling to create food safety culture and awareness
  • Implementing and maintaining a Quality Risk Management system to ensure that risks are adequately controlled in accordance with current requirement (HACCP)
  • Ensure implementation of GMP on product handing, like FIFO and product labelling is followed across business (Private Label and Market Place)
  • Implement Pest Control, Fumigation, Cold Chain Programs. And complete periodic validation and verification to ensure adherence to requirements.
  • Ensuring the development of departmental SOPs (writing, revising and approving), ensuring regulatory compliance operationally.
  • Ensuring that all activities are performed in accordance with GMP,GHP, company SOPs and Health and Safety policies.
  • Ensuring that there is an audit programme in place and facilities audited for Pest control, Food safety and as required in defined frequency.
  • Ensuring that the supplier audits are performed and reported as scheduled.
  • Maintaining an awareness of new and proposed legislation that impacts the business and communicating any changes to the cross functional team.
  • To actively participate in smooth launch for any new products in co-ordination with other departments.
