Human Capital Management- Insights & Analytics - Data Engineer - Senior Analyst - BengaluruLocation(s) IN-BengaluruJob ID 2021-76030 Schedule Type Full Time Function(s) General Region India Division Human Capital Management Business Unit Insights & Analytics Employment Type Employee MORE ABOUT THIS JOB YOUR IMPACTThe Data Engineer in Human Capital Management (HCM) is responsible for Data Modeling, Data API s, Data Warehousing solutions and provide insights through Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms. This includes processes, procedures, and standards necessary to ensure data asset quality and usability in additional to create and maintain data models. Serve as the liaison and translation layer between the business and the technical teams across HCM.As a member of the Insights & Analytics team in HCM, the role will require you to interface with HCM business to determine reporting requirements, build/maintain Data Models & Data Sources for BI Tools. Play a role of Data Engineer & Data Scientist in order to build, optimize Data Model and provide insights through BI & Analytics platform for various HR related functions. Manage data feed flow to HCM systems used by GS and to other downstream applications. Coordinate full project lifecycles and ensure successful completion of the various phases including due diligence and scoping, use case definition, functional design specification, development, testing using functional and operational test cases, production roll-out and user training.OUR IMPACTAs a Division, HCM recruits, develops and rewards the people of Goldman Sachs. The team is responsible for Data Modeling and to provide insights through various BI & Analytic Tools.The Data Strategy and Governance team is part of Insights & Analytics which leverages various technology platforms and HCM data to support talent management processes, mitigate workforce risk, and evolve operational strategy. Through the coordinated expansion of reporting, analytics and technology capabilities across the division, Data Strategy and Governance develops data-backed solutions that empower HCM to recruit, develop, and reward the people of Goldman Sachs. The team is located across the globe including New York/New Jersey, Salt Lake City, Warsaw and Bengaluru. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIALRole Responsibilities

• Build, manage & maintain various data models in HCM.
• Build & maintain web application and manage their data flows.
• Analyse and provide insights to the business through BI and Analytics Tools.
• Interaction with the various functions within HCM to gather requirements.
• Works with business owners to define and establish data quality rules, definitions and strategy consistent with division and organizational strategies and goals.
• Collaborates with Data Leads, Data Analyst, and IT areas to ensure data quality and availability.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE RE LOOKING FORBasic Qualifications

• A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Data Engineering suite:
• 3+ Years of experience as Data Engineer or in a similar role
• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, building ETL Pipelines, data analytics and business intelligence
• Strong background in SQL/PLSQL a must. Exposure to Sybase IQ, SQL Server and Oracle Databases a must
• Hands-on development experience building responsive web applications using at least one of the following: React/Angular/Vue
• Experience with RESTful web services and should be comfortable with Agile processes,
• Experience in anyone of the BI Tools (SAP Business Objects, Tableau, Qlik )
• Experience in anyone of the Analytics platform (R (R Studio), Python, Alteryx)
• Sharp analytical abilities, proven design skills, excellent communication skills
• Strong project management skills who is highly organized with excellent attention to detail, follows through, holds task owners accountable, works effectively to deadlines, works well both independently and in a team environment
• Experience working with SAP Lumira, Power BI is a plus
• Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, driving consensus and influencing outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Web development (HTML5, Angular JS), Java 8
• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing solutions, Knowledge of both relational and dimensional data modeling preferred
• Experience with BI and Analytics tools, Preferably Tableau & R / Python
• Results-oriented -- ability to balance multiple, time-sensitive projects while maintaining a longer term, strategic focus
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
