Job Description

    Pathfinder Engineering team is responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of new, cutting edge cloud adoption capabilities. These capabilities will allow JPMC development teams to transform our business applications into scalable, secure, elastic systems that can be instantiated on demand. The team is looking for a infrastructure developer to help increase our adoption to public cloud by accelerating the deployment and simplifying the onboarding process. The ideal candidate should be comfortable being directly involved with the design, development, testing, and operation of the solutions that will make up the cloud infrastructure. Once implemented, the candidate will typically be expected to provide some higher level production and technical support in the case of a serious outages. They will work closely with the CTO Organization to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes that drive the platform roadmap.FUNCTIONAL GROUP RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
    • Design and build cloud blueprints to enable the adoption of public cloud at scale within the firm.
    • Provide guided and automated path to provision the cloud blueprints.
    • Support the commonly used languages and frameworks to be easily deployed on public cloud.
    • Ensure that the infrastructure design in secure and compliant with the firm s standards.
    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Create, develop and build infrastructure stacks on cloud using IaC tools like Terraform.
    • Build a platform to build cloud-native applications running on traditional IaaS, Containers/Kubernetes and Serverless.
    • Drive technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations via developing tools and automation for example automated server build processes
    • Create processes and/or tools that enhance operational workflow and provide positive customer impact
    • Respond to and resolve service problems; build tools and automation to prevent problem recurrence
    • Develop tools and utilities that provide telemetry and product usage metrics
    MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelors or higher level degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
    • 7+ years of experience and expert level proficiency with at least one programming/scripting languages such as Java, Golang, JavaScript and Python
    • Experience in the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure
    • Knowledge of Cloud providers such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform services etc.
    • Experience in the design and implementation of CI/CD pipeline processes; automated build and test systems (e.g. Jenkins)
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills - desire to solve complex problems at scale
    • Experience in the day to day usage and troubleshooting of Linux based operating systems such as RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu
