Collects, analyzes and synthesizes data guided by the special requirements of the customer or manufacturer. Possesses general knowledge of Industrial Design Process, but has limited use of accepted practices, procedures and methodologies. Contributes to larger teams by implementing small to mediumsized parts of products or concepts. Solves problems of low to medium complexity and often works from highlevel sketches or solutions developed by others. Individual learns what resources are available and asks for help as necessary. Produces appropriate documentation relevant to current assignment and works from specific detailed instructions under the close supervision of a Senior Industrial Designer. Responsibilities Develop design concepts based on user requirements, target groups, market positioning, design language and design trends. Play an integral role as core team member during the new product development process from research, concept to product build. Participate in user experience and usability research for upcoming programs and problem statements Coordinate with external vendors supporting the design process Scanning of design and market trends and pragmatic compilation of insights Ability and willingness to go an extra mile to support on non-ID related design workQualifications Degree in Product design or Industrial design 5-10 years of work experience (ID consumer products and User Research Background is a plus) Good understanding of Human Centered Design Processes and Design Research Methods (Prior experience in Product usability research is an added advantage) Strong aesthetic appreciation, presentation, and communication skills to be able to put your design proposals forward Visualization skills (hand sketches, 2D rendering skills (Photoshop/Coreldraw), CAD, 3D renderings and model making) The Candidate ideally has experience across the entire design lifecycle from research, concept generation to design for HVM.
