Role: The Change/Release & Deployment Manager performs duties filling two major roles in IT; one being responsible to administer and facilitate the execution of IT changes and the other managing the global release & deployment activities specifically the Global Maintenance Break (GMB).In the role of Change Coordinator, He/she is accountable to steer and secure change activities across the Nokia IT landscape ensuring pro-active quality implementation internally and with our external partners/vendors. The main duty of the Change Coordinator is to ensure, that every change and all required data/contents are well prepared in advance of the Change Approval Boards (CABs). All changes will contain clear and understandable description of the change request, a pro-active set of priority, correct evaluation of impact and risks including the change is carefully assessed and sufficiently tested, to avoid any service disruption or degradation of service quality. Responsibilities include pre-approve or decline of respective change requests in advance of the Change Approval Boards (CABs). He/she coordinates the CABs as well as summarizes the decisions of the Change Approval Board meetings. In the role of IT Release and Deployment Coordinator, He/she is accountable for the management, planning, scheduling and control of global and local IT releases to deploy changes into live production environments. His/her primary objective is to ensure that the integrity of the live environment is protected and that the correct components are released effectively and safely during the maintenance breaks. Thus, the Release and Deployment Coordinator plays a combined coordination and governance/oversight role.The Change/Release & Deployment Management Coordinator is responsible for the proper design, execution, and improvement of the Change Management and Release & Deployment Management Processes according to the ITIL framework driving identified improvements throughout the IT organization. Main Responsibilities:
    • Coordinates and drives day-to-day execution of the change management process ensuring the standards and procedures are being followed
    • Ensure change requests are properly categorized and prepared content-wise, e.g. clear and understandable description of any change request, pro-active set of priority, correct evaluation of impact and risks (low till major) including a carefully assessed and sufficiently tested beforehand
    • Pre-approve or decline change requests, reject requests that are not well prepared, completely out of scope, or out of policy
    • Create and maintain the Change Calendar showing all changes and verify any overlapping or conflicting changes and resolve scheduling conflicts
    • Organize, invite and coordinate Major CAB incl. agenda with only well-prepared changes. On need basis organize, invite and coordinate the Emergency CAB meetings. Document and publish results of CABs and update the change calendar as needed
    • Follow-up all changes in regards of successfully implemented, or postponed, or rolled-back as well as ensures by post review of exception changes to evaluate if the change addressed a real or a perceived exception condition
    • Identifies change requests that have not been acted upon in a timely manner and takes appropriate actions
    • Prepare and communicate Change to relevant involved parties, like Business, IT internal, vendors via pre-selected channels in an understandable way
    • Audits the Change Process for compliance with documented procedures
    • Create, analyze and distribute change management reports, including KPI/PI reports
    • Responsible for governance and quality oversight of the IT global and local maintenance releases, from release planning, deployment, and release closure
    • Provision guidelines and support for orchestrated and closely coordinated deployment of Global IT Releases (GMB)
    • Coordinate close cooperation with all IT units to ensure full execution on deployments and release upgrades during GMBs
    • Bridge the gap between project activities and ongoing operations by providing a structured approach for bringing changes together, testing them and deploying them safely into live environments
    • Provide GMB regular communication and final report from GMB in regards of successful and failed upgrades and deployment activities
    • Owns the Change Management and Release & Deployment Management Processes and supports as focal point for these processes. Communicates and trains process topics with business, across IT units, service providers and management as needed
    • Identify and implement continuous process improvements
    • Establishment of measurements and targets to improve process effectiveness and efficiency (KPI/PI)
    Key Competencies:
    • Highly independent and self-directed individual capable of working with minimal supervision.
    • Good understanding of complex IT environments and factual and theoretical knowledge to identify and retrieve information as IT generalist
    • Able to coordinate people and stakeholder in a multidisciplinary and multi-cultural environment, including external IT providers, Nokia IT technical teams, as well as technicians from business areas
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills both written and verbal (English) with ability to communicate effectively on technical and non-technical level.
    • Experience in ITIL process management
    • Availability to work outside normal business hours to coordinate Global Maintenance Breaks (defined working shifts)
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • A Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science from recognized university
    • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in Change Management and/or Release and Deployment Management activities in complex technology environments
    • Fluent in written and spoken English
    • ITIL V3 foundation /intermediate certification
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • ITIL V3 expert certification
    • Six Sigma
    • Various IT tool usage knowledge (prefer ServiceNow)
    • DevOps / Continuous Delivery Experience
