Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • End to end ownership of Java platform deployed across AXA UK infrastructure
  • Develop, maintain and enhance web applications (Java/J2EE) and webservices
  • Working on Spring based webservices.
  • Understand the client requirements and prepare technical artifacts.
  • Work with team members on integration and application deployment
  • Working as a gatekeeper and collaborator for JAVA across consumers including other vendors and customers.
  • Interact with cross-functional groups including product manager, customer support to develop new functionality and support existing customers.
  • Advise on decisions on common design factors (versioning, naming standards, best practice, etc.)
  • Prepare technical roadmap for the technology and identify/develop patches as required
  • Participate and present/represent the technology in the regular governance discussions
